Maddies is a really quaint, old-world B&B with loads of character. Only a few rooms, but they are cozy and charming. The staff are super friendly and helpful and greet you as soon as you arrive. The breakfast is delicious and your room fridge comes with complimentary sweets / cakes. The grounds are quiet with view over the surrounding fields. The location is a little isolated though and on a main road, so the nearest town is a 40 min walk. Would highly recommend staying here for a night or two.

We had a lovely stay at Maddies. My husband and I and our large Labrador were warmly welcomed. Our room was cosy and breakfast was more than we expected. What a delight. Thank you!

One night of being spoilt
Allison and the girls are the most amazing hosts. So welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The accommodation is beautiful and so comfortable and the breakfast (included) was fantastic. The gardens are lovely and I couldn't recommend Maddies more. It was truly a memorable stay. Thank you Allison.

We stayed here on our wedding night. We didn’t get in until late but Alison went out of her way to send us a detailed message of how to find our room and facilities. The room was lovely and everything was set up beautifully for us to arrive and relax. We were set to head off to our honeymoon location early the next morning so she came in early to cook us breakfast and have it beautifully laid out and ready for us as we woke up. The food was delicious! We left Maddies of Bolwarra feeling so relaxed and satisfied. I highly recommended staying here for any length of time, you won’t regret it!

I loved everything about Maddies. Alison and her crew were so welcoming and really made me feel at home. The house is delightful with a long verandah housing a beautiful frangipani tree amongst grounds that are stunning. The Continental breakfast was the best I’ve ever had with the freshest fruit, eggs, breads and yummy treats like peach muesli crumble.

Comfortable,Tranquil Escape. Amazing Grounds
Wonderful country feel. Comfortable and inviting rooms and the grounds are just magnificent if you are wanting a quite peaceful location to chill out. i don't live too far away and stay here on the night of a friend's big birthday bash (which was also held at the venue), as I didn't want to drive the 30 kms home afterwards. So if it wasn't so close, i would easily be tempted to stay again and soak up the tranquility and surroundings.

I cannot say enough nice things about this place. My puppy and I had a wonderful stay where we were made to feel like part of the family. The room was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable.

In the area for a wedding
We booked this accommodation as it was very close to the location for a wedding we were attending. Our room was very comfortable, clean and a lovely hot shower with fluffy towels. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful. Great location and a very welcoming and accomodating host Would happily recommend Maddies.

Home away from home
Due to work scheduling and all hotels in the area being booked out Maddies was booked at the last minute. My first impression wasn't the greatest as I arrived at about 5:30pm to a house in complete darkness. After making contact by phone I was notified that the owner had been in QLD and was on the way back and spending the night in Grafton. Until the time of the phone call she was not aware of any guest bookings due to being in transit. She was very apologetic and organised for her sister to come to let me in. My experience improved drastically from that point on.

What a great little hideaway. So relaxed. Full commercial kitchen made available to guests. Eat inside or out in the garden. Best weekend I have had in a long time. Make sure you stay for breakfast.

Amazing and incredibly helpful staff!
We got to the hotel to find that our booking through Wotif had gone through for the wrong day even though our confirmation was for the right day (not stressful at all!). The owner IMMEDIATELY found us somewhere to stay, gave us directions and helped us out. The next day we were invited back for a complimentary breakfast which was absolutely delicious and everyone who worked there was just so lovely. I was really looking forward to staying there, but even though we didn't get to we still had a really great experience with Maddies!

Staff pleasant and helpful, but not there at night when we tried to use the TV. TV wouldn't work and no one to ask. Toilet roll high up on wall behind the toilet. At first I couldn't find it and then very awkward to use. Doors to balcony wouldn't open. Adequate for one night stay but disappointing considering the price. No fridge for personal use

Our stay at Maddies was just like being in our own home. All the facilities were very clean and comfortable. Allison our host was friendly and made us welcome the whole time we were there. Overall the stay was excellent and I would have no hesitation in staying there again and would highly recommend it to others.

Driving into a lovely country garden surrounding a lovingly restored home where the attention to detail was evident. Alison is a wonderful hostess and, although, we didn't see her on arrival we did get to meet her at breakfast the following morning. The place has feeling of tranquility and peace about. you cannot help but relax and enjoy your surroundings.

My friend and I were going to a wedding in Mindibarra so booked with Maddie's due to its location and price. I had noticed the check-in time was at 3 pm, but when I called to enquire about checking in earlier (the wedding bus was picking us up around that time) they were very flexible and happy to have us arrive earlier. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to find it was beautiful and our host was very helpful. Breakfast was so great, you couldn't ask for anything more! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Maddie's and would definitely recommend it to anyone, we would have loved to stay longer!
