「We were living in the room close to the main road. It could be quite haunting during the night and I was almost sleepless during the first night. And I have to leave all the lights on to make it looks like people are awake. I tried to use the hot bath but the room is locked all the time. Hotels.com is definitely responsible to manifest a 10 out 10 rating in this hotel, it’s simply not that good! Strongly won’t suggest ladies and kids to stay alone. 」

「Beautiful location between beside rivers with view of Mt Ruapehu (cloud permitting). Hosts were very welcoming and gave friendly advice about local walks. We did the Mangawhero Forest Walk which took around an hour along well maintained trails through stunning forest, recommended. 「A wonderful stay at Mountain Heights Lodge, highly recommended. The hosts, Karl and Maria, are very friendly and helpful, gave us useful information on food opitons & trails when checking in Room (motel unit) was clean with full equipped kitchenette. The private Spa pool is a plus, relax after a full-day hiking. 」
