Une ile très intimiste (seulement 36 bungalows) et très belle au nord de l'atoll de Malé. Une cuisine de grande qualité, raffinée et inventive, la meilleur que j'ai mangée aux Maldives. Un personnel gentil et efficace avec un patron qui parle français ! Des tortues tous les jours à la barrière de corail ! Nous avons passé un séjour délicieux.

Loved the feeling of being on a secluded, peaceful island that felt authentic in design and decor rather than like a Westernized modern hotel. The staff were incredibly nice. There was a variety of delicious and fresh food everyday. The sea activities were plentiful. The massage at the spa was deeply restful and high quality. We stayed at three different places in the Maldives and this was our favorite.

Makundu resort is the ultimate gateway place. The island is a small piece of paradise surrounded by blue water and sandy beaches. You can do snorkeling, diving and water sport but if you are looking for some peace and quiet you can just find it in the Beach in front of your room. There are around 30 rooms on the resort so you can get a lot of privacy and quiet in your room area. The restaurant is really good with reach breakfast and set menu dinners (exceptions are Tuesday which is a barbecue night and Friday which is a Maldivian nights, both are buffet). the staff is very friendly and kind. In the evening you can enjoy the bar (average Maldivian resort prices) but also, see shark feeding, stroll around the beach and see the stars. We Had an amazing week and we will definitely come back.

В целом не плохо, но есть два замечания, которые было бы необходимо отметить на вашем сайте. 1. Персонал говорит только на английском языке! Нет никого, кто говорит по-французски, по-немецки и т.д. 2. На вашем сайте указано "WI-FI free". Это не правда, и многие на это жалуются. Вам дают бесплатно 2 Гб, остальное за деньги! Для тех, кому необходим интернет для работы, это не очень удобно. 3. Всё было хорошо до момента отплытия в аэропорт. Нам потратили много нервов. Одна парочка из Германии оплатила свой тур он-лайн ещё до приезда. Во время выезда начались выяснения, платили - не платили... В итоге задержали всех пассажиров в качестве заложников на 30 минут. Мы еле успели на свой рейс. Ребята сумели в последний момент испортить впечатление от такого прекрасного отдыха.

Close to nature at Makunudu
Everything was perfect! The villa was clean and cozy, ideal for holiday mood. The food was simply amazing mainly served as a menu, and twice a week as buffet. Excellent taste and plaiting. And now comes the best part: the house reef accessible from the beach! The coral reef was not in the best shape, but it was bundled with sea life. We saw so many beautiful fishes and also big turtles, octopuses and sharks(not dangerous). The vibrant island has something special with so much life: crabs,bats, small lizards and some birds with their weird songs(sometimes at 5am) adding it to the charm. As a negative point, they were providing only 2GB per device for free.Since nothing about the extra charge was mentioned in the reservation on Hotels.com, we argued about it and they provided free Wi-Fi in the end. We loved this resort for simplicity and because it is close to nature in all meanings!

Tolle Bungalows auf einsamer kleiner Insel
Wir hatten wunderschöne Ferien auf Makunudoo Island. Die Insel ist klein und total naturbelassen. Man kann taeglich Haie sehen, Geckos, Voegel und ganz viele andere Tiere. Die Bungalows sind sehr sauber gehalten und die Outdoordusche ist wundervoll. Direkt vor dem Bungalow beginnt der schoene Sandstrand. Es ist wie im Maerchen. Das Fruehstueck ist in Ordnung, bietet nur wenig Auswahl, hingegen das Abendessen ist abwechslungsreich und lecker! Die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und erfuellen jeden Wunsch. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefuehlt und wersen wieder kommen.

Very beautiful island without all the unnecessary things like swimming pool, flat screen TVs etc. It’s a real retreat from the stress of life. Great food. Rustic accommodation, understated elegance theme throughout, no plastic chairs in sight! You relax from the moment you arrive due to the chilled atmosphere the staff create. So much sea life sharks, turtles, eagle ray, sting ray etc. I will be back someday to lovely Makunudu.

Peaceful, Beautiful Manunudu
We love Makunudu and have returned there 3 times for its peacefulness and tranquility. A beautifully simple quiet hotel island, with just beach rooms, a single restaurant and bar. Snorkelling a plenty, good dive centre, some other water sports, no gym or pool.

Eine ruhige, kleine Insel, wo man so richtig ausspannen kann. Wer gerne liest, schnorchelt, taucht und die Seele baumeln lässt, ist hier richtig. Auf Makunudu gibt's keine Animation, kein Morgenturnen, kein Pool und da die Anlage nur etwas über 30 Bungalows zählt, ist sie nie überlaufen. Die Zimmer verfügen über alles, was man benötigt, sind sehr sauber. Der Service ist hervorragend und äusserst aufmerksam und nie aufdringlich. Einzig die Preise für Getränke, sind zu hoch.

Es war einfach großartig, kleine feine Insel ohne viel Ablenkung. Nur wenige Einheiten und alles verteilt sich sehr gut, wer Privatsphäre sucht ist hier sicher richtig. Das Hausriff ist super und reich an unterschiedlichsten Tieren. Einfach ein Traum.

Nádherný malý ostrov - ideální pro klidnou, pohodovou dovolenou.Přesně to, co jsme hledali. Málo lidí, skvělé služby a úžasný personál - poděkování za péči o naše pohodlí všem - vedení hotelu, kuchařům, pozorným číšníkům, barmanům, pokojové službě a vašem ostatním... Děkujeme Ubytování v jednom ze 36 bungalovů nemělo chybu . Absolutní soukromí včetně "soukromé" pláže!! Určitě se chceme to tohoto "ráje" vrátit.

Wonderful island!
This is our second stay in this hotel and it was as wonderful as the first one! The island is just wonderful: what you imagine of Maldives island - beautiful nature, secluded bungalows with in front of each a private beach with sun-beds, wonderul beach and fabulous sea! When you're arriving you don't see the bungalows - they're hidden behind shrubs and palms! The whole island is so, so green and full of flowering plants that fill the air with their perfume! The food is really excellent! The chefs make many very tasty plates for you to choose from! Each meal is a very nice surprise! The staff that serves that meals is always smiling and quick! And the restaurant is beautiful too: you eat looking at the beach and the sea! Also a cooking class can be arrange and we loved it! The sand bar has a marvelous terrace from which you can watch nurse and black tip sharks and eagle rays swimming in the lagoon while sipping a drink! There's also a sunset bar on the top of the island and on a very wide beach, from which you can admire the sunset! There's also a new Spa where you can enjoy a massage! Unfortunately we didn't have luck with the weather, but that's not Makunudu's fault! We stay 3 weeks and the middle one was bad, with rain and clouds - but, hey, it's July, so we knew that it was a possibility! We really love this island and will be looking forward to returning there!

Ausgezeichnet! Die Insel kann man definitiv als Geheimtipp bezeichnen, von der Ankunft bis zur Abreise wurde uns unser Urlaub so angenehm und schön wie möglich gemacht! Das Personal auf der Insel ist unfassbar herzlich und nett und versucht einem jeden Wunsch zu erfüllen. Dudu, unser "Roomboy" zum Beispiel hat unser Bett beinahe jeden Tag unheimlich aufwändig mit Blumen verziert und immer perfekt saubergemacht - danke!! Auch das Management ist ständig vor Ort und erkundigt sich von selbst, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Das Essen ist hervorragend! Super ausgiebiges Frühstücksbuffet, ausgezeichnetes und liebevoll zubereitetes Abendessen!! Die Preise abseits der inkludierten Leistungen sind auch verträglich und lassen einen gerne am Abend einen Cocktail oder ein Bierchen in der traumhaften Bar trinken. Die Insel selber wird vom Personal sehr gut gepflegt und ist dementsprechend sehr sauber. Die Bungalows sind alle wirklich super gelegen, bieten einem absolute Ruhe und Privatsphäre und sind. Da es gerade einmal 36 Bungalows gibt verläuft sich alles sehr gut und man kann wirklich zu 100% entspannen. Das Meer ist ein absoluter Traum! Dies war mein 3. Maledivenaufenthalt und ich hab noch nie so viel Fische, Schildkröten, Mantas und, und, und gesehen!! Also unbedingt schnorcheln oder tauchen gehen!! Auch die Exkursionen die angeboten werde sind ein absolutes Muss!! In Summe können wir beide die Insel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen! Wir werden sicher wieder kommen!

Beautiful Natural Island
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the staff were so helpful and friendly. Couldnt do enough to ensure our holiday was pretty much perfect. The resort management, Ali and Sunil, were always on hand for any questions. The island is so beautiful and unspoilt ... the chef is brilliant and the food amazing. I know there are some renovations planned especially to the bathrooms which are now a little tired but overall the standard of the bungalows are very good. The bars/restaurant are lovely and the views over the island/water are breath taking ... the sunset cocktail bar is a must to visit as the sunsets are spectacular to see. There is no need for towels on sunbeds at 4am! Each bungalow has its own designated beds which are comfortable with mattresses and sit on the beautiful beach outside your bungalow. I would definitely visit again ... 2 weeks flew by! My only suggestion would be to perhaps make the island adults only .... there were very few children when we were there ... but they did make themselves heard. Overall, a holiday at Makunudu Island is definitely a must

amazing island resort, but disappointing coral
Everything is great in this island. The staff, the food, the activities on the island. The only problem is: we were very disappointed with the corals. plenty of them are already dying. There are often miscommunication with the staff about time, but they are very professional in general. There are two snorkeling activities: 1) Turtle Point Discovery: don't waste our money. You can do it on your own. 2) Snorkeling Discovery: nice Two ways to make this place better: 1) don't make fake sushi 2) get a new table tennis bat please

Der Standort der Insel ist sehr gut gelegen, da der Transfer mit dem Speedboot ca. 50 min vom Flughafen dauert. Allerdings ist das Boot mit 220 Franken pro Person auch sehr hoch und meiner Meinung zu teuer. Zimmer und Anlage: Die Zimmer und die Vegetation sind in sehr gutem Zustand und wird entsprechend sorgfältig gepflegt und gewartet. Der Abstand zu den benachbarten Bungalows ist sehr gut und die Pflanzen grenzen den Aussenbereich sehr gut ab. Wer also kein Fan von Massentourismus ist wo Liege an Liege steht ist hier genau richtig. Essen: Das Essen ist sehr gut. Gibt nichts zu meckern. Allerdings konnte ich kein Deklaration für Fisch aus Nachhaltiger Fischerei etc. finden. Personal: Der grosse Teil des netten Personals stammt aus Bangladesch. Es stellt sich allerdings die Frage, ob die Resortführung die Angestellten mit ca. 300 Franken pro Monat korrekt entlohnt, wenn man dabei bedenkt wie viel Gäste für den Aufenthalt bezahlen. Nachhaltigkeit / Müllentsorgung: Der Strom auf der Insel wird ausschliesslich durch einen Dieselgenerator erzeugt der auf der ganzen Insel 24h zu hören ist. Solar oder Windanlagen sind Fehlanzeige. Ich gehe davon aus, dass der Müll von Makunudu auch auf der unverantwortlichen MÜLLINSEL THILAFUSHI landet. In der Höhe des Preis für den Aufenthalt, sollte eine ordentliche Entsorgung enthalten sein und eine Selbstverständlichkeit sein! Wenn diesbezüglich kein Verbesserung statt findet, werden wir die Malediven in Zukunft meiden.

Hire done gardeners before it's too late
The resort is very run down and in need of total upgrade. The scenery around it, blue sea is beautiful. However the vegetation is so over grown and in kept , you cannot see it. Also there are piles of cegatuon , old leaves etc that are just left and consequently become breeding grounds for flys and mosquitos. Both me and my Wife were bitten to death. We stayed only one full day , the final straw was finding a worm/ leech like insect in the bed. We decide to book flights and leave that day. When we in formed reception we were leaving and neede transfer to Male, no one even asked if there was a problem. Pity could be a beautiful place. However like many resorts in Maldives they are living in the past and believe they are a cut above the rest . Sadly that's not the case any more Abd these overpriced and run down resorts are being shown for what they are. Pictures on website are very flattering , beware reality is different. I pointed out the overgrown and cononeteky unkept shrubs and trees only to be informed the gardener left several months ago. Lack of real care and it shows.

Wonderful and relaxing
We spent 3 weeks in complete relax in August 2017. The Island is really great with a lot of greenery and palm trees. There're many beaches with soft white sand and you can walk around the island in 15 minutes. We stayed in beach bungalow n° 1 and it's the only bungalow that has a big beach umbrella. All the others are shaded by trees or shrubs or palms. We're very happy with that because occasionally, as usual for August, there're short rain showers and having the umbrella was very convenient! The bungalow is nice and cozy. The bathroom is small but it had all the amenities you need. I liked the half open air shower! It was like having a small garden inside! The beach in front of our bungalow was amazing! Wide and long with a nice lagoon. During our stay there weren't many people in the resort, so the whole beach was for us, even if there're free beach-beds for other people on the left. We had two, under the umbrella for our exclusive use. Another convenient thing is that this bungalow is very near to the restaurant and beach bar so it was easy to get there. Don't worry, even if it is near to restaurant, the only thing you hear is the murmur of the sea! The food here was amazing! Tasty and fresh and excellent! We had fis, all kind of meats, fresh vegetables and fruits! We had the all inclusive and I would recommand it because the drinks are expensive, as usual on Maldives. I would recomment this resort for people who like their privacy and total relax!

Great place for Digital Free Vacation
We had a great trip, best part for us was the lack of a tv and very limited internet access. The staff was incredible and the food was good. The hotel could use some updating, the beaches are rocky and you need water shoes or tough feet. There is only one place that you can real snorkel on the island where you can see fish. If you want to see more sea life yo need to go on a boat. I would recommend this resort if you are seeking a rustic vacation with great staff.

Это хороший отель и ехать туда, конечно, стоит. Но есть и маленькие недочёты. Внимательно читайте счёт, который вам приносят на подпись. Могут принести счёт на 5$ больше. Не молчите, указывайте на "ошибку" и требуйте правильный счёт. Но следует сказать, что инциденты улаживают быстро. Не рекомендую брать рыбалку, рыба не ловится. Видимо, такой риф. Я на Мальдивах не первый раз, ездил на рыбалку в разные сезоны, всегда ловилась, здесь нет. Ещё надо сказать, что вокруг острова в основном мёртвые кораллы (может, поэтому рыба не ловится?). Конечно сквозь них прорастают и живые, но основной массив мёртвый. Здесь меньше крупной рыбы, но плавать с маской очень интересно. Много акул, часто встречаются черепахи, видел большого ската, осьминога, рыбу-наполеон. Из неприятных вещей - вопрос с питьевой водой. Бесплатно вам в сутки дают всего пол литра. Дальше всё за деньги - в минибаре бутылка воды стоит 6$. Совет, берите с собой на остров питьевую воду. Я считаю, что не очень хорошо со стороны отеля так завышать цену на воду - это не алкоголь, это питьевая вода должна быть доступна для людей. О хорошем. Удобные бунгало, широкая кровать со свежим бельём. Вся мебель удобная и комнате и на пляже. Много разных полотенец. Весь остров покрывает бесплатный wi-fi. Кормят вкусно. Часто баранина, говядина, японская кухня, разные виды сыров. В номере стоит кофеварка из капсул. На острове царит тишина и умиротворение. Это достаточно маленький остров даже по мальдивским меркам, но этим он и хорош!)

Feels like a hidden paradise
The hotel was great, room has a lot of space, nice little back yard and access to beach. I would recommend rooms 1-5, they have nice beach access. The best feature is the home reef. The worse was toilet. We loved peace and easy going atmosphere, nature is close. Sometimes even too close. Wake up call came in a form of really loud bird 5.30 so take your ear plugs with you (not helping much anyway...). Don't be disappointed that your boat ride is not private. There can be a lot of people in the same boat and the price will still be the same. We loved the food (full board) and nice surprise was that drinks (water, coffee, tea, soft drinks) were included during meal time. No TV in rooms or swimming pool but it was not a problem. If you like beach life, snorkelling, diving and just to relax, this is your place.

Siamo stati ospiti a Makunudu per 1 settimana...un paradiso e relax garantito!bella la house reef! il diving center è gestito da due istruttori italiani davvero competenti. hotel confortevole con camere spaziose in stile maldiviano, caffè espresso e the disponibili in camera ogni giorno. pulizia buona.wi fi gratuito. ristorante davvero ottimo sempre. unica pecca: le escursioni disponibili sono poco sponsorizzate e organizzate male e spesso non vengono effettuate per non chiari motivi. nel complesso: bella vacanza!
