Plenty of sun, beautiful views

We greatly enjoyed our visit, it was just as advertised. Lilly was wonderful and welcoming, the beach where we spent most of our time was steps away, Mar Chiquita beach was beautiful and not at all crowded. For those looking for a quiet beach getaway, highly recommend this place!

Perfect anniversary stay!

My husband and I traveled to Puerto Rico to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We could not have chosen a better place! The apartment had everything we needed and Lilly was a wonderful property manager. The location was fabulous... right next to one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, Mar Chiquita Beach. We rented a car and explored the island, including a coffee plantation tour, swimming in a biobay, visiting the rain forest, Old San Juan, etc. It was great to have this place to come back to each evening. We enjoyed the most beautiful sunrises right from the deck and relaxed in the pool and private yard, too. We will definitely recommend this place and hope to be back again, too!

Fantastic stay!

Absolutely beautiful! The beach is fabulous and just a short maybe 5 min walk to mar Chiquita! The mornings on the beach were so peaceful! The beach in front of the condo is definitely not a swimable beach, but the sounds of the waves were amazing! The patio area was cute and very nice to rinse off after the beach ! Also a great lil grilling area tho we didn’t use it. The wildlife is fabulous and such a natural setting! Outstanding! Lilly the property manger was such an asset! Excellent communication, & very helpful! Thank u! Would be more than happy to stay again on next trip! Also super great location for day trips to west coast!

Ideal, Peaceful Location on the Ocean

We found the location to be perfect. The neighborhood was amazingly quiet and the private beach was great. The unit itself was in beautiful condition and very clean. We highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a perfect beach vacation.

Excellent property. Closest beach to soak in is Mar Chiquita- super close, can walk there. And playa Los Tubos a very short drive. Beach in front of property is nice to walk and sit and relax. Apartment is in excellent condition.

Incredible location

We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay. The apartment was beautiful and in an incredible location! We enjoyed the early morning sunrises and private beach every day! The place was well stocked and super comfortable. Carlos and Lilly were wonderful to work with. Thanks so much - we hope to come back one day!

Great Stay!

Great property and great location. Lilly the property manager was available and responsive when needed for questions. Mar Chiquita beach was a short walk from property. Also highly recommend Playa Los Golondrinas which is a short drive from property! Would definitely stay here again!

Excellent place. Close to everything you need but feels like your away from crowds. Pool is great. Beds were comfortable. Air conditioner worked great. Kitchen had everything you need to make a meal. Felt very secure. If you want to get out of San Juan and enjoy the country this is a great location.

Perfect getaway.

The living quarters were comfortable and nice and cozy. The location was just what we needed. Our view and access to the beach, every moment of the day was nothing short of awe inspiring. We loved sitting and walking the shoreline collecting shells with our daughter and watching the waves for hours. Truly paradise with the beauty of the ocean on full display.

What a find!

I've visited Puerto Rico many times but never this section of the island. The Puerto Rican vibe here is strong and you feel like a local more than a tourist. The nearly private beach and cozy digs made this a truly enjoyable and relaxing trip. We rented a car and took day trips and enjoyed this view every day. Will be back!

Hidden Gem in Paradise

This was one of the best vacations my family has ever taken. Puerto Rico is such a beautiful island and Mar Chiquita is magical. Lily was kind and helpful with check in and out and the property was everything we could have hoped for and more! Waking up to the sounds of the waves crashing and seeing the breathtaking view every morning is something we will never forget! Thank you so much Carlos and Lily!

Amazing experience!!

We just got back from our week stay at this property. It was even better than I had anticipated. Lily the property manager was extremely helpful, responsive, and just overall a great human being. My family and I have never visited PR before but Lily provided us will a lot of recommendations to get our vacation started off on the right foot! The location of the condo to the beach was about as good as you could ask for. It was the perfect place my family and I am very grateful to have stumbled upon this gem. Thanks, Lily!!

I love this property soooo much!!

Just like the pictures. So peaceful and the scenery is so beautiful! The hostess Sonja and Carlos were amazing!! Great communication skills!! Everyone was very nice. The beach is beautiful. Have fish right by the shore. OMG....WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR PRESS BOOK NOW!!! THANK ME LATER!

Magical Manati

The condo and location was perfect! Wonderful location with a view that was absolutely breathtaking. There were restaurants nearby within driving distance but, we did pick up groceries to use the individual bbq area assigned to the condo. As for the condo itself, it was clean, cute, and had enough room for two adult couples! The kitchen pantry was stocked with seasonings and everything you needed to cook/season your food. Lilly the apartment manager reached to make sure we arrived safely and were situated with everything we needed. She was easy to contact and quick to respond. The grounds were quiet and there is a gentleman at the entry gate to assist when you first arrive. We spent most of our time on the beach or site seeing so we did not have the opportunity to go to the pool area. You will need a car if you stay at this location as it is not walking distance of anything except the amazing beach. And to be clear the beach that is located directly in front of the condo is not really a swimming beach, you will have to walk about 5-10 minutes for the area that is best for swimming. (Which is no problem at all)! To sum it up, the place is amazing, the location is beautiful, and we really enjoyed our time there.

Girls get away

Just a few steps from the beach. The beachside patio is actually separated by a parking lot from this second story condo. The community pool is at the other end of the condos. All walkable. Interior is just as shown in the photos. Well appointed with everything you could need except food. Clean accomodation. 3 stars because the master bath had a serious moth fly population....we kepth that door closed and just used the hallway bath. It being a short trip...not much could be remedied before our departure so we didn't bother the hosts about it. There's more beach supplies in the garage. There's keys for everything. There's a gate gaurd all night who is very sweet. Good lowfi no fuss accomodation for exploring the neighborhood and the rest of the island.

Highly recommend; this is a getaway where the photos absolutely match the experience. Lili is lovely, the views magical, and the location perfect, close enough to San Juan for a day trip, but quiet and right on the beach.

Charged for amenities that were not available

Our low rating of this VRBO property is due to the owners unpreparedness and response to the aftermath of hurricane Fiona during our 8 day visit. 12 hours after we checked-in, the property lost power and did not return for five days. By the 6th night we cut our losses and moved to a hotel in San Juan. We learned that many businesses had prepared for inclement weather and due to their preparedness they never lost power or water. I had booked this property 3 months prior due to the properties positive reviews, beautiful photos, location (on the beach), and offered amenities. I felt safe booking this and paying a premium price....because I thought we would receive premium service. We did not. Due to the loss of power we were unable to use the following amenities. Stove/oven, hot water heater, A/C, light fixtures, microwave, washer, dryer, the security gate (was unlocked all week and opened there for no security) wifi, TV's, etc. After we specifically asked Carlos if the property had a generator to switch too he reported there was one in the closet. We then had to set this up with oil and gas ourselves. All of the appliances other than the fridge were 30 AMP and there were no cables long enough to run any other appliances. Due to the lack of extension cords the generator had to be placed on our patio with any cords running through the patio door so the door had to remain cracked. Causing fumes. Even though we chose not to listen to our generator 24/7 and smell our gas 24/7 we still had to listen to the neighbors 24/7 and smell the gas from their generator. Sitting on the balcony, listening to the waves, opening windows at night to try and stay cool, drinking coffee outside in the mornings, wine in the evenings.....not as romantic when it smells like gas and sounds like you're at a race track for 5 days. I did not ask Carlos for a full refund as he could not control the hurricane. But, as a business owner he can control having a back up plan for situations like this (when paying a premium price)....many other businesses on the island were prepared for this and kept their guests happy. I asked Carlos for a 50% refund as we did not get the experience we were sold....along with being unable to use ANY of the amenities. He denied the refund as 'this is his only source of income' If you are going to charge premium prices....you should be prepared to go above and beyond to help your guests and not leave them stranded for 5 days with no power.
