The room wasn’t tidied when I first entered. Used cups were in the basin and I asked the front desk to help deal with the situation. The staff were friendly and solved problem quickly. The location is close to Manchester Piccadilly. However, the room was poorly soundproofed. I could hear the ladies in the next door chatting and shouting all night long. Couldn’t sleep at all… air conditioning was so loud to the point that it was very annoying…

The room has two main problems. 1. very noisy outside every morning around 0600-0700, seem handling rubbish 2. there is sink drainage blockage issue. I don't expect no fixing before check-in. Besides, I do not expect the hotel charge $1 pound for luggage storage in the check out day. Rarely found this request in other Ibis hotels before.

Fantastic hotel in a convenient location for the railway station, tram stops and shops. Nothing is more than a 10 minute walk away and bc Manchester's public transport system and roads are so sorted, it's really easy to walk everywhere without having to dodge traffic and shout over the noise like in most big cities of the UK. The hotel staff are super helpful, the rooms large and comfortable. This is our second stay here and we will be back.

The room decor was tired and in need of an update. Carpet was dirty looking. Generally poor standard. Window damaged and would not close properly. Heating in room not working. Bed was hard and uncomfortable. Staff replaced TV remote control promptly after original not working. Barman in restaurant rather rude for no reason. Overall quite a disappointing stay, I will not return and will not recommend the hotel to anyone staying in Manchester.

Check in was fast and efficient. Room was really clean. Room 518. Small but thats ok. Heathing/air con very noisy, had to turn off after 20 minutes. Then you could just hear the huge air vent outside. Went on most of night bar about 4 hours. View was awful of other parts of building but hardly in the room so ok. Towels lovely and clean, as was bathroom but one of the shower dispensers has fallen off the wall and left on floor, no big deal. I wouldn't avoid staying again but would avoid rooms around 518 due to vent noise

Good value
The hotel was in a great location and was fine for what we paid. The room was showing signs of wear and did feel like part of it was just empty space. It could have used an additional chair and a coffee table to fill the space. Nothing seriously wrong though and for the price, I would stay here again.
