  • Rustic cozy peaceful escape in a safe and quiet neighborhood within 2 blocks from Mayo Hospital and Bethany College with a children's park, hockey rink and tennis courts just across the street. There are 2 bedrooms with queen beds for an accommodation of 4 people and two full baths with one on the main floor and one upstairs with the bedrooms. This rustic gem has a lot of charm and character including slanted and squeaky floors and a claw foot tub in the upstairs bath. I like the house and had a nice stay. The pickelball courts across the street were busy the whole time, and the park lights were on as late as 11:30 p.m. one night. Some blackout curtains in the bedroom would be nice.

The Rustic Retreat was very quaint and a perfect fit for my wife and I, and our daughter and son-in-law. We were in town right after Christmas to visit our other daughter and family. In spite of a blizzard that came out of nowhere, we still enjoyed our stay.

Perfect rental in Mankato.

Stayed here for a softball tournament instead of a hotel, and so glad we did! From check in to check out, everything was great- easy check in, great communication from host, clean house, nice neighborhood- it was perfect.

Just right for our needs. Located half way between the main business district and downtown so it is easy to get everywhere. It is located in a quiet neighborhood next to a park so it is peaceful and relaxing.

An older home in need of some minor repairs (handrail, doorknobs), but clean and comfortable. Plenty of nice, large towels. Fine for a one-night stay, although it could use room-darkening window treatments to keep out light from the park nextdoor.
