「We were made so welcome by Olivier and his son, Hugo. This is not like a 5-star hotel, but our room was spacious and quiet, with good air-conditioning, comfy bed and good shower. The indoor swimming pool is small, but we booked two slots and had it to ourselves. Hugo cooked us a really fine meal - not gourmet in style, but delicious. Olivier went out of his way to find the Arsenal game ‘live’ on French TV for me! A really pleasant stay.」

The first room had a very unpleasant smell of smoke and sewage/manure, and the air-conditioning unit was leaking water down the wall. 「Very welcoming and set in the historic center -or very close. Large, comfortable room, multi-lingual receptionist and excellent breakfast, much of which is home made/home grown, including the jams. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed on this particular evening, but if breakfast was anything to go by I expect a dinner there would be equally delicious. (There were other restaurants in easy walking distance.) I look forward to staying there again.」
