We will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay at Balmers! While I would say this place is for a younger crowd, I think there is something for everyone! They have nightly events (Trivia, sunset outings, movies, etc) and are located in a great location central to everything you could need!

Walkable to restaurant, coffee shops , bakery and transporation. Just few steps infront of Balmers. People are nice. Easy to get lost inside the place on your first day but we will for sure stay again in some day.

This was a good hostel but not great. The “J” rooms need a shower that’s closer. Maybe convert the kitchen that was out of order.

Nothing fancy. Bit hot but the fan did the work. It also helped reducing the street noise. A good place to spend couple of nights.

Our room is in attic and right across the washing area, for some reason every time the toilet flushes we can hear a loud gurgling sound in the room and there always are people talking very late at night, this is not a place for light sleeper and I did not rest well during my stay. I like the well equipped public kitchen and there is coop nearby so cooking was nice and easy.

A great pick for Interlaken!

Balmer's has a ton of character! I really liked the different common areas for hanging out, and the kitchen was massive with lots of fridges. It's great if you want to cook your own meals. The under the bed storage bins for each person were a nice touch. Unfortunately, it did get a bit hot at night with only a non-oscillating fan. The bus stops right outside made getting around super easy. They also offer activities for guests (I didn’t join any), but it definitely had a social vibe. Overall, a great stay!

I had a issue with the payment and lose a several time trying to solve it with the property and they didn’t resolve it because they said they would pay a tax but anyway even try to understand my side and talk with the booking company. They compensated the payment without my permission even I telling them I’d have a trouble paying other tax, and also it wasn’t the way I wanted pay for it, they didn’t listen me and did it and I just realised it half month later. I don’t know how they have access for it, so be careful. Also the hostel is very very noisy in the whole night, a lot of people drunk around and it is in a very far and isolated area.

if you like to sleep DO NOT STAY HERE it is sooooooo loud at night and you can hear everything through the walls. The doors are so loud and you can hear every conversation through the walls. We also booked a “Private 8 Person Dorm” which said “Room Facilities- Bathroom” So we assumed it had a bathroom but no they are communal bathrooms which is in the very small print. Very misleading.

总的来说还是比较满意的，性价比比较高，旅馆门前就有公交车去到两个火车站，而且用旅馆给的卡，公交免费坐。不过缺点是行李存放不方便，如果有贵重物品的话，必须存放在付费的寄存柜中，而且这个柜子不单是按时间，而且是按次来收费的。假设租了12个小时，但过了一小时要取用其中的东西，那么12小时的费用就白付了。房间中用于放行李的地方也较少。

Nice hostel

A little bit far from the station. Staffs are friendly. But it is convienient to take bus to the hostel. Remember to ask the free bus ticket. It help to save a lot of money and time.

A nice place with great decoration. A bit far from the Interlaken Ost Station but it does not really matter with the bus stop nearby. Staff are helpful and polite. The little problem is the noise by stepping on the staircases, which can be heard in the room.
