Easy parking just around the corner. Large, clean room. Friendly staff and easy check in. Close to MCG. However unfortunately the room had a really bad, stale smell.

Stayed here before and it was exactly the same. The space in the room and layout was great. Bed is extremely comfortable. Bathroom is big with loads of shelf space to put your stuff out. There are a couple of pubs about 20-30m that have loud outdoor bar areas but I didn't hear it. Maybe because the bed was so comfy. We love the location, 100m from Collins street tram stop and 100m in the opposite direction is parliament train station. We love the theatre so is nice and close to all the main theatres. Certainly would stay here again.

Hotel location is excellent with great links to public transport and within walking distance from all key places around Melbourne. The hotel itself is pretty old, the rooms definitely need to be freshen up. We were in room 507 which was decent (better than the first one on the 1st floor which had a bit of a smell). The room was facing the backside of the building and it was really noisy during weekends. The sofa bed is really uncomfortable and could use an upgrade but the bed was great! The bathroom is pretty old. All together a good value for money for a 1-week stay in the city
