On a late night whim we booked the cottage. It was truly a magical experience. Very grateful that we could book with just a few hours notice online. Instructions sent were great, and the cottage exactly what we hoped for - quiet, secluded, lots of privacy, and bird life (thank you for the bird seed, that was pretty much the ultimate!!). The entire place is just amazing! Love the owl touches and everything about the cottage! Incredibly romantic.

Haven’t stayed here for quite a few years, but absolutely love it here! It’s quiet, private and just beautiful to get away from it all. Breakfast provisions were wonderful and the kitchen is well supplied. Thank you for having us! Will be coming back.

We stayed 1 night and the suite was brilliant. Clean and tidy with little unexpected touches like all the stuff for breakfast in the fridge and waiting. The late checkout was great and we'll certainly be back. Thanks for a great night away :)

Pros: spa bath, heating worked beautifully, great location. Cons: lack of communication from property owner. We asked for an earlier check in (3pm). The shower wasn’t great, the water went all over the bathroom floor and was a slipping hazard. Would probably stay elsewhere next time.

Lovely relaxing property, well stocked with supplies. Garden needed some weeding. An additional bench in the bathroom would have been handy and perhaps a wide vision mirror at the entrance would also improve safety, not that we had any issues - just feedback.

Going to start off by saying that when you advertise a cottage in the middle of peak summer then you should ensure that at the very least the aircon is working. The place felt like a furnace the moment we stepped in and when we switched on the aircon it was not working. I promptly messaged about it hoping someone would come and fix it next day. We were staying for 2 nights only. The first night was unbearable. Kids woke up in the middle of the night as the upstairs rooms were very very hot. So had to do some make shift arrangement in the room at the ground floor. Unfortunately nothing was done next day, which was not a public holiday. So we left in the evening and did not complete our stay. Lucky for us we live in Victoria so travel was not an issue. On top of it, the wifi was also not working when we arrived and only started working late at night after my initial complaint. All in all, we will not be staying here ever. A complete waste of money.

Unfortunately, there were a number of issues that affected our experience. The lamp beside the bed was not working, and the bathroom light was hanging out, which was both inconvenient and concerning. We also found that a pill box had been left in a drawer, which suggests the room was not thoroughly checked prior to our arrival. Lots of dust behind the bed was not good for my allergies. In addition, there was no milk provided, the kitchen had limited plates and cutlery, and there was no spa bath soap available. The photos advertised a breakfast pack, however this was not provided during our stay. Prior to arrival, I contacted you regarding an early check-in but did not receive any response. We also attempted to contact you during our stay and again received no reply, which was disappointing. Finally, as this stay was to celebrate our 4-year anniversary, we were hoping for some form of personal touch or acknowledgment, especially given the way the accommodation is presented online. Unfortunately, this was not the case. Overall, these issues meant the experience did not meet our expectations or align with what was advertised. I would appreciate your response to these concerns and clarification regarding how this can be addressed.

Quaint and characterful. Did not have facilities as described (ie no functioning wifi and brig your own coffee) the word "boutique" is doing a lot of heavy lifting but its cute, cosy and the birds that visit are wonderful. Must like owls!

We stayed at Observatory Cottages for our wedding accommodation and was impressed from arrival. East close access to shops, clean and secluded and perfect amenities for a relaxing, comfortable stay. Milk, bread and water/juices provided unexpectingly which was a bonus so breakfast and snacks sorted. Keep up the great effort !!

Beautiful unit, everything well thought of, including breakfast ingredients, great fireplace, 2-people jacuuzi, comfy bed, candles, nice backyard, parking at the door, easy signage and instructions. The only content was the few spider corpses we found on the floor (but hey, no live ones).
