Family holiday

The house is a beautiful, Charentaise conversion with shuttered windows, a lawned garden and fenced salt water pool. The main house has 4 bedrooms, each with its own colour and theme. The cottage has two further bedrooms, sleeping 12 in total, with room for an infant. There is a large open plan kitchen/ diner/ lounge. There’s also a large table under a canopy roof outside that is great for alfresco eating. We really enjoyed the lovely pool area with its chairs and loungers. Our : year old grand daughter enjoyed it the most I think! Melleran is a lovely little village with a bakery that you can order your bread, croissants and pain au chocolat from, just a 10 minute walk away. There are lots of things to see and do in the surrounding area but we chose to stay at the house and make the most of the pool. We particularly liked sitting out in the evenings listening to the barn owl in the barn adjoining the house, hissing and calling and waiting for the bats to appear. The house can seem rather noisy with the wooden floors that squeak when you walk on them but you get used to it. You can hear everything going on upstairs! Overall we’ve had a great time and would stay again.

Nous avons été logés confortablement . La maison est située dans un hameau paisible. Les enfants ont trouvé de quoi s'amuser et s'occuper. La piscine a été très appréciée par les petits et les grands. La semaine s'est très bien déroulée sans problème notoire.

superbe semaine en famille

J'ai loué cette grande maison pour passer une semaine en famille. ( nous étions 12....de 2 à 72 ans...!!!) tous ont profité de la piscine chauffée, du billard, du ping pong, etc etc les plus grands sont allé faire du karting, de l'accrobranche et du kayak dans les alentours. semaine passée bien trop vite, mais à refaire.

Lovely property in quiet area of France

Three generations of our family came together for a week in this spacious property in Melleran. Lots of room and the sleeping arrangements worked out great with one family in the separate cottage. Swimming pool was a hit and safely fenced in. Missing a cover so we had to use the net to take out the bugs. This was not a problem and did not detract from our enjoyment of the pool and sun loungers. The barn had a ping pong table which we had fun with when it rained. Plenty of toys and books for the kids. We loved it.

Un séjour très agréable

Nous avons passé 4 nuits et 3 jours en famille . 8 adultes et 2 enfants ....et nous avons beaucoup apprécié cette location très grande y compris la gîte annexe ....avec un équipement complet et des pièces confortables ...le jardin est très grand et les équipements de loisir très bien vus pour adultes et enfants ...sans oublier la piscine très confortable que nous avons peu utilisée en raison de la météo . 2 bémols concernant l'absence totale d'isolation phonique du plancher de la maison principale et le bruit du chauffage de la piscine très perturbant la nuit pour la maison annexe . Par ailleurs l'environnement est très calme et agréable et au final nous passé un super séjour .

Excellent family space

Spacious, well equipped, great quality items of kitchenware and tastefully decorated. Excellent pool, consistently warm and clean. And having the extra cottage for family who need their own space was ideal. Albeit the only thing which is unavoidable in the countryside is the ants and spiders. This is a small price to pay for rural idyll..

Gîte très spacieux et bien aménagé pour un séjour entre amis. Piscine grande et bien chauffée . Emplacement au calme , idéal pour les amoureux de la nature. Riche patrimoine gastronomique et culturel à découvrir dans un périmètre de 15 à 20 kms autour du gîte. Nous recommandons.

Bel endroit spacieux et équipé

Très bon séjour passé dans cette belle et grande maisons avec beaucoup de jeux et d'équipements permettant de passer de bons moments entre amis et/ou famille. Un petit bémol sur le ménage et sur le fait qu'il n'y a pas de bois fournis pour la cheminée. Propriétaires et gérants réactifs et arrameangeant.

Maison fort potentielle.

Bon séjour dans une très grande maison calme et bien clôturée avec tout le nécessaire pour accueillir les enfants. Belles chambres à l'étage mais pas du tout isolées avec le bas : juste un plancher bois qui craque !! La personne qui s'occupe du logement est très agréable et disponible rapidement en cas de problème. La piscine est belle et chaude mais trop profonde avec des enfants. La télé ne reçoit pas les chaines françaises. Logement rès satisfaisant.

Bon séjour!

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour dans la maison de vacances. Celle-ci possède une très grande surface pour les 12 personnes prévues. La dépendance est également très pratique. Le jardin et la piscine étaient supers! Les bordures de celle-ci pourraient être réparées car cela pourrait être dangereux pour les enfants. Nous avons été un peu déçus de la propreté de la maison. Beaucoup de toiles d'araignées, d'araignées, de saleté dans les recoins,... Cependant, les draps et les essuis sentaient très bon! Le parking est assez grand. Nous avons également trouvé que la maison était assez loin de toutes commodités. Rien ne peut être réalisé à pieds. (Courses, marchés,...) L'avantage est que le quartier est très calme. La grange de jeux est très bien pensée mais assez sale. Il faudrait trier le matériel et les jeux. Il n'y a aucune chaine de TV en français. La terrasse est légèrement trop petite pour 12 personnes. Les contacts reçus avant le séjours étaient très complets et clairs. Hormis ces quelques détails, le séjour s'est avéré agréable et nous en avons bien profité. Merci

Toll ausgebautes Haus

Ein sehr stillvoll eingerichtetes Haus. Es ist sehr gut Ausgestattet mit Küchenutensilien, Spielzeug für Kinder, für Jugendliche. Das Anwesen ist groß genug, so das jeder einen Platz gefunden hat um sich zu entspannen. Unsere Familien(drei Familien) haben vor allen die Ruhe und den außreichend großen Pool genossen.

House , outdoor space and game barn offered us everything for a great week ...dispite slightly less weather conditions. In these covid times there was not so mutch to do in de villages in the neightbourhood . But La Ballerie made our week great .

Zeer leuk verblijf

Nette woning, voldoende groot, kids ruimte aanwezig. Verwarmd (31 graden buiten zwembad, goed onderhouden.) zeer rustige locatie. Een aanrader met kids als je van de rust wenst te genieten. Bezienswaardigheden steeds op een afstand van 45mi, tot 1,5u.

Perfect for family with kids
