“My stay at Hygge House was beyond exceptional. The Hygge Team was helpful and prompt when I had questions or needs...they were always so very pleasant. The room was perfect for a single person and complete for all of my needs. The Hygge house is located behind the main street in Newburyport town, so access to all and everything was a hop and a skip to food, great shopping, sight seeing, etc.Surprisingly, the town is quiet and considering superior access to everything...I slept like a lamb in the……

“Very good stay”

“I booked a last minute stay for some time at the ocean. The booking/check in process was so easy with very detailed instructions sent the day of my arrival. The place was exactly as pictured, a well-appointed, clean cottage, with everything I needed. The host also left a welcome gift that was thoughtful and useful. I walked the few blocks to the ocean everyday, multiple times a day to walk for hours on the beaches. I got food from a nice little Italian restaurant (Capri) just a block away. The……

“Overall, we were really impressed with the location — it’s ideal for one couple traveling.Make sure to stop by Mad Martha’s, Lucy’s, and downtown Newburyport. We loved our dinners downtown, especially The Goat, where we enjoyed their Tuesday BOGO burgers and live music.”

“My family really appreciated our one-night stay at this beach house. It was very clean, and they had beach supplies (towels and folding chairs). The one flaw was that one of the planks on the bunk bed was a bit loose, so my son didn't feel comfortable sleeping on the top bunk. But there were plenty of places to sleep for our family of 5. We especially loved the proximity to the beach (only 3 blocks away), although the restaurants in that area were pretty expensive (probably typical for a beach……

“A family wedding brought us to this area. The Ocean Retreat was everything as advertised. We especially appreciated the host'sresponsiveness to any questions. The murphy bed was surprisingly comfortable and the shower was amazing. We appreciated the cleanliness and loved the goodies! We would stay again!”

“Property was great, didn’t realize the stairs involved. Lots of pollen on rooftop and balcony. Sean was amazing with communication on a few items. We would rent again without elders. Awesome location.”

“We really liked the room and location. It was clean and felt safe. The individual managing the property responded to our needs and questions in a timely and respectful manner. However we did not like dealing with Vrbo and the fee for having to rebook. We are seniors who sometimes have to change plans due to medical issues. Vrbo makes this difficult with the high fee. It was our first time dealing with Vrbo and we will not use this booking service again. Hopefully there is another way to book……
