Staff was wonderful and hotel was in great condition. Food was delicious too

Property was clean and staff was very professional. However, it was a struggle communicating because my spanish is limited and staff was mostly spanish speaking, Also, i didn't realize they allowed pets until after i booked so if you're not an animal lover or if you have allergies reconsider. I was happy to discover they had a restaurant on property but the food options were limited and very pricey. I also loved they had a laundry room available to guests, i was able to wash clothes that i had spilled food on. However, i didnt like when i called housekeeping about the spill in the room they just dropped off cleaning items for me to clean up myself. that was different.

My stay at aloft hotel was very pleasant.
The decor was bright and beautiful. I enjoyed my time at the pool and slept amazing in the comfy beds.

Staff was good and attentive.
Hotel smells like dogs. Even with all of the overpowering detergents.
I got a studio, which is just a bigger room. No microwave, kitchenette or any else expected from a studio.
Pool and external area full or leaves and unattended. It is summer and these areas are expected to be clean and ready for use.
I sat on the pool area for 35 minutes. Almost got abducted by the mosquitoes. There were too many. I still felt their bites underwater.
No free breakfast. Even though it was advertised as: "Free full breakfast for 2."

Espectacular la experiencia, el servicio del área de la piscina. Yary la dependienta súper atenta. El bartender Yaimel con un amplio conocimiento de la coctelería me dejó muy satisfecha de cada uno de los cocteles. En fin un lugar al que sin duda regresaría.

Staff was excellent. Always there to help. Location , for us, was perfect.
Property needs a lot of attention and updating. . Some rooms smell of mold. Carpets need to be replaced and so does air system. Building is not up to Marriott standards.
When you advertise, breakfast, lunch and dinner available, one assumes a restaurant. Not the case here. You order from front and food delivered. Not a true restaurant.

Check in was speedy. Check out was faster a few hours after my check out I see the full charge of the room on my incidentals card after I have already paid Expedia. I called the hotel and front desk explained sometimes the system will authorize a bit more than the usual and it would release soon. I did not believe the front desk explanation. So the following day I called again to speak to a manager. The front desk manager was able to better assist me and confirm that it was a charge not a hold. The front desk manager Chris was able to refund me. But if I do not follow up I will not be getting my money back as the front desk is misinformed and unable to recognize a direct billing issue in their system the manager also explained to me that Expedia did not pay the room this is why I was Charged when I know that direct billing is billed for a later date for Expedia to pay out.
Please do not mis inform your guest when it comes to financials. I stayed for a medical procedure, tying up my account sets me back and had to reach out for assistance because of it.
