Hotel closed, took my reservation anyways

I booked the hotel a few months in advance. When I pull up to the hotel on the day of my reservation, there’s a sign on the door saying the hotel was closed for renovations and to go to a different hotel about 10 minutes away. I was given no prior notice this was happening and I only booked this hotel for its walking distance to the places I needed to go. Very unprofessional, do not book with this company.

No Notice!!

We did not stay at Casa Victoria Orchid. It was closed for renovations. I did not receive a notice from the hotel or Hotels.com. We were directed to Hotel Ocean. Our reservation was transferred there. We did not have a room with a view. Very disappointing. We shouldve received an upgraded room with a view of the beach at no additional charge.

Super Cute, Clean Hotel

This hotel is a little gem on Espanola Way. We felt like we were in another country. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Stay here if you are looking for a clean, convenient, no frills hotel that is extremely affordable and only a few blocks away from the beach.

Great Spot

Always a pleasure to stay here. This is our spot on SOBE. We try to stay here every time we come. Can't beat the location and the suites are awesome! Our only complete is the lack of a full size ironing board. The small ones are aggravating to use and we use the iron every trip.

Clean and cute

We loved our stay at this gem of a hotel. It is clean and cute. Has a seating area in the lobby that is outdoors. Has coffee and water and even beach towels. The room had a nice bench at the end of the bed that you can lay your bag. It is near a bunch of restaurants.

Leap Year Bday Trip

The hotel was as described. It was clean, amenities were great and staff were extra friendly. The only gripe I had with place is that the key card machine was done which resulted in having the staff unlock the room door every time I needed access to the room. That was a bit inconvenient and after a while became a bit of a nuisance. Other than that, the stay was a nice one.

We truly loved the aesthetic of the place. They offer bottled water at the front desk which is a bonus for me. Most places charge you for water, which is an essential in my book. The room was super clean and right on Española Way, we couldn’t ask for a more perfect hotel.

The scenery in the area is amazing, lots of good restaurants as well. The room was clean lots of lighting coming in the room. My only issue was I did not have access to my room key my whole stay something was apparently wrong with the room key but I was not notified of this issue prior to arrival. There was staff 24 hours so I let them know when I arrived, I personally would have preferred my own key to get in the room . Or at least notified prior to arrival.

The receptionist had us wait while she fixed a computer issue. She should have taken care of us first. The hotel didn't have any hot water when we arrived, approx. 8pm. Hot water was fixed pretty timely. The key card machine wasn't working so receptionist had to let us in our room. We only stayed one night, don't know if that got fixed. Bed was very comfortable, room was well appointed and modern.

Really nice, no-frills place for good value

I’d definitely recommend this if you’re looking for something simple and cheaper yet super clean and nice. And for a few bucks extra, the suite is definitely worth it.

What a gem of a hotel!

FAB hotel. Great location, near Miami beach and the hotel had everything we need for an incredibly reasonable price. Also free water, tea, coffee and snacks was a total godsend at points. The partner hotel pool access is well worth it, if you have time. And bikes for hire to explore - again, total bonus!

Very convenient location. Close to restaurants and beach. The Hotel could use an update. The room we had had some maintenance issues. There was a tiny kitchenette, but absolutely nothing in the cupboards, not even drinking cups. The refrigerator was almost room temperature, even when turned up to highest setting. A couple of the windows would not close completely. We reported all above to mgmt. Few amenities.
