Great location, near the beach and Lincoln road. The parking is limited and first come first serve, it wasn’t a problem for us as not to many cars. Room is very basic but all we wanted was a bed for the nice.

Die Gegend ist schön, allerdings nie wieder. Zustand abgewohnt und nicht sauber, Preis viel zu hoch. Achtung: Parkplätze sind NICHT inklusive. Der sehr unfreundliche Angestellte entscheidet nach Lust und Laune, ob man parken darf. Angeblich war unser Auto zu groß. Seine Erklärungen und Auftreten waren frech und parken in der Gegend USD 60 pro Nacht. Trotz Zusage Parken für die 2. Nacht, war es dann wieder nicht möglich. Ausrede ist irgendeine Police, die man bei Buchung NICHT lesen kann und die vor Ort auch nicht vorgezeigt wurde. Alles war sehr ärgerlich, noch dazu blieb der uralte Fahrstuhl stecken und wir mussten mit Feuerwehr nach langer Wartezeit mit Kindern im kaputten Fahrstuhl herausgeholt werden. Nie wieder. Bitte nicht reinfallen auf die schönen Versprechungen und Fotos...

We were early and on site parking was a premium so we got lucky. We used the heat not the ac. It was trickey, but ok. Would be nice if they had coffee 24-7 and a paper, not plastic for coffee. It was a beautiful 40s building . It had lots if hand painted art on the walls.very walkable neighborhood.

Room size is ok.Beds are terrible and not comfortable at all.Got neck and back issues after staying there just for a night.Hotel is in a prime place and close to the beach. It’s very noisy and not very pleasant at all. I don’t recommend staying there with the family.

This was a terrible experience. I hope I never have to see this hotel or go to Miami again. This hotel has left a permanent scar on my and my young son's heart. My experience at the James Hotel can only be described as horrific. The hotel staff actually called the local police to have me and my son removed for trespassing, simply because I found a problem with the mattress and requested a room change. Four policemen forced us leave the hotel. My son was terrified and cried. Afterwards, I requested a refund, but they said I had booked through Expedia and told me to get a refund from Expedia. The local police were clearly biased towards the hotel. One of the police officers, named E. Santana, was particularly vicious and had a terrible attitude. The story was after we checking in at 3:00 PM, I discovered a problem with the mattress; one side of the mattress was sagging. I requested a room change, but a staff member at the front desk said there were no other rooms available. I explained that the mattress was broken, the springs on one side had collapsed, and it was impossible for me to sleep on it. She said that all the mattresses in the other rooms were the same. This was clearly lying. Later, while I was showering, my son explored the hotel and found that there were other empty rooms upstairs. He came back and told me, so I went to the front desk again to request a room change. They then threatened me, saying that if I continued to complain, they would call the police, the
