Great surf beach getaway!

Lovely ocean views, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen, easy walking distance to hit the surf at Middleton, and we could bring our dog too, he also thoroughly enjoyed his stay :-)

Beach Getaway

The property is well positioned. It is close to all beaches, cycling in the area is fabulous and short drive to shops and restaurants. The house is comfortable and nicely furnished. Would happily stay here again.

A peaceful experience

We enjoyed our stay at Heroes Rest, the owners were accommodating with our request to take our dog and the house was comfortable and clean. The proximity to both Goolwa and Port Elliot was good and we enjoyed exploring the south coast.

Middleton magic

Great property with great ocean views - you can assess the surf quality from your balcony. Right in the heart of the Day St surf precinct, short walk to the beack. loved it.

Fabulous Stay

Our Christmas break at Heroes Rest was absolutely wonderful. The house was presented beautifully. It was extremely well appointed and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. The back yard was great for our dog and very secure. The whole process from booking to packing up was hassle free. Kim was very helpful with any queries along the way. Will be back.

Review of Middleton property

a lovely property just had a few issues with check in whih meant we were delayed from arriving on time and had boys who were keen to play backyard cricket as stated in the review of the property but grass hadn't been mowed for some time.

Hero's Retreat

The property was generally very nice and in a good location, however the two dogs next door were quite aggressive and barked a lot. In fact one dog actually jumped over the fence into the backyard and we had to try and take him back next door. It took away from an otherwise good stay.

Good place, close-ish to beach

Beach holiday with the dogs - which was nice to be able to have them along - made things much easier. The place itself was a good size, a short walk to the beach and had good amenities overall. It could do with a clean out there was a CD player... which was had to explain to our kid... and then there was a VHS player! didnt even attempt to explain that! Multiple drawers full of random games etc... an hour or two of organising that stuff so all the board games/puzzle books etc were together would be nice. Still - overall - very good. Would stay again.
