The property was absolutely beautiful and a perfect place for our family reunion. Nestled in the mountains was stunning. The house was fabulous to stay in.

It served its purpose but you don’t get what you pay for

The setting was amazing but the home was severely run down. Lots of deferred maintenance. Tile floor broken. Most of the exterior doors (and doors to the pool) don’t close properly and are “secured” by a makeshift piece of wood draped over the door handle. Very few smoke alarms. Mildew smell in basement that permeated the whole house. Bed linens that don’t fit properly. Steam room didn’t work. Very few towels and washcloths (1 washcloth in master bath for 4 day stay) kitchen not stocked - had to go to the store to buy SALT!! Very few window coverings - not even in the master bedroom and bath and the large master bath window is right by the front door - so do the math….Communication was terrible. The address was given wrong which caused our daughter to miss 2 days of the reunion as she didn’t have proper directions and there’s no service up there. When I reached out to the owner I wouldn’t hear back for several hours - or even days. Very frustrating. Other than that it was great!!! We loved being together but for the we expected much more.

Stonehill Lodge

We had a large family gathering at the Stonehill Lodge and it worked out wonderfully. The property is beautiful, and it is filled with amenities -- mountain views, a beautiful yard, an indoor pool with plenty of towels, an outdoor trampoline, abundant beds, bedrooms and bathrooms, a great hall area, dining room, excellent kitchen, several family rooms, and a racket ball court below. It was amazing in a very good way! The property manager was excellent and easy to work with, and the house itself was clean, beautiful, and nicely furnished. Our whole family recommends it highly!!

Outdoor wedding

We held an outdoor wedding here, and the scenery was gorgeous! My husband, myself and family stayed at the house for a week , and was able to accommodate 12 people comfortably. The owner has an on-site caretaker that works very hard to maintain the house, and was able to help with any questions or concerns. Bedrooms could use blinds.
