Very tired villa in a great location
We knew the villa was a period property, but it seems to have had no money spent on it since the 1980s. The dishwasher is so old that the make and instruction markings had all worn off, so you had to guess where to start it. One tap in the main en-suite didn't work and a note in perhaps Dutch said the previous tenants had broken it and the owners hadn't had time to replace it, but the note seemed about 5 years old. One of the toilets didn't flush. All the bathroom drains made the room smell for an hour after use of any bath or basin. There was no information at all, apart from about the wi-fi, but that information was incorrect. We messaged the property manager to ask for the details but never received a response other than an out of office saying they would respond during weekdays. Despite further messages to the property manager, we didn't hear back from him, and had no instructions on handing back the property. The house security is very poor with the least secure door locks of any villa we have stayed at in Spain. We only went upstairs to have a look on the first day, but the rooms were uninviting and only one bathroom between three bedrooms. the staircase was very wobbly - we stayed downstairs! The main bed was ok, but the others were very uncomfortable and creaky.
There were no cushions for any of the outdoor furniture.
The drive is very steep.
With money spent on the interior, this villa would be fantastic, but it is not! We would not recommend it.
