I booked this place for 10 days. There was a nauseating pungent smell from day one. I could not sleep. Could not breathe through my nose. It was cold at night and I opened the window. I texted the host and also reached out to help. vrbo chat. Host did not respond timely. Next day I opened the drawer to put my toiletories, the drawers smelled like someone died in there. I bought ambient deodorant and sprayed, it masked the nauseating pungent smell for about 15 minutes and it returned. Again I could not sleep. I waited in the rain for more than an hour after host informed me that someone will stop by to check the place within 20/30 mins. A guy named Pietro turned up past 6pm. I’m a female solo traveller, concern for my safety, I sent the guy away. I chatted with vrbo help. It was unbearable. I could not breathe through my nose that whole night.
I informed host, their assistant Rommi and Help.vrbo that I will move out the next day. Help.vrbo assured me that I can move out and will process the refund. Few days later informed me otherwise. I have all my chats and still disputing. Host had an automated email asking me for excellent review. I never write bad reviews BUT this place is bad. Not sure how it made its way to vrbo
