The room was great! It is in an excellent location, close to Milan Duomo. Check in was easy. Bit loud outside with the road noise but they provided complimentary earplugs made it a non issue

Good: Room was clean. Location excellent. Fair: Elevator starts on the 2nd level so you still need to carry your luggage down/up 1 flight of stairs if no one is there to help you. No staff on site unless you call them. Poor: Water does not stay hot for entire duration of shower. TV had only one US station and it was dubbed in Italian.

The building itself is old, but the room has been renovated beautifully—surprisingly so—and was spotless with all necessary amenities. The location couldn’t be better. Since no staff are stationed on-site, you need to ring the bell outside the entrance (which isn’t immediately obvious) and wait several minutes for check-in, so it’s best not to schedule anything too tightly around your arrival. Once the staff member arrives, they are friendly and helpful, and afterwards you can enter the building freely with a key card. For check-out, you simply leave the key by the pillow and go. The only thing I wondered about was how quickly they would respond in case of an emergency outside business hours, but I never had the need to test this because the room was perfect and trouble-free. There is a small, antique-style one-person elevator located about ten steps up from the entrance. Overall, it was a place that genuinely made me think, ‘I want to stay here again the next time I visit this city.

This place needs a renovation, a front desk and more cleanliness. Our bathroom was not cleaned and the toilet lid was broken with mold growing on the walls. At arrival, there is no front desk, the entrance is shared with another property and you have to call a number to have someone come give you keys. Save your money and book elsewhere for the same rate. I think the only reason it’s still in business is its proximity to the duomo but Milan is so walkable you can easily stay elsewhere.

The room itself was good but so many other things were not. We had no hot water or electricity for one night of our stay. There is no one on location to get information from and you have to text and wait for a response. We asked to be compensated for one night due to the water and electricity issues and have not been at this time. One night we got back late, opened the outside door to the stair entry and there were two males sitting in the first steps drinking beer. Very uncomfortable to ask to get by them to go upstairs. The location isn’t bad except that you hear street noise all night. The room was clean and nice so once you were in the room, besides the noise, it was comfortable. Still waiting on our refund. It was very worrisome to not have electricity to charge our phones in a different country.

The location is very close to Duomo. However the hot water in the unite ran out in 5 minutes. It's not enough for 2 people to take a shower without running out of hot water. I took the shower with cold water on both nights. The receptionist was rude and not helpful in giving direction to find the place. The guy who checked us in was extremely rude. He made me leave my luggage unattended to go to 2nd floor to pay him. My husband had to stay with the car and could not help me with the luggage. The guy who checked me in did not offer to help me with my 4 pieces of luggage. He just watched me struggling to put luggage in a very tiny elevator without offering any help. I do not recommend this place.

I was really looking forward to our stay here as I was promised over the phone there would be a fridge/freezer I could use (I’m a breastfeeding mom and needed a freezer to store milk for my son). The freezer was not cold and could not fit a normal size plastic water bottle. The fridge was also not very cold and I needed the milk I’d collected over the last week to stay frozen. Ultimately, we left the next day (a day early) because they could not accommodate for us and caught the first flight home. Another thing was that our room was directly above the KFC there. I expected noise being that close to the city center, but at 1-2am it was so loud because KFC was closing up. Like I said, I really wanted to love this place but it didn’t work out for us.
