"L'annonce est incomplète car il est inscrit "logement entier" pour la chambre zen alors qu'il s'agit d'une chambre dans une maison où l'autre chambre peut être louée, ce qui a été le cas. Partager la même salle de bain et toilettes n'est pas confortable. De plus la cabine de douche était sale (moisissures). Il faut prendre les clés dans un enclos où il y a des chèvres et un âne. Le matin du départ, la voisine qui nourrit les animaux a reçu un coup de sabot de l'âne ... Je n'étais pas à l'aise...

"This is a beautifully decorated house with ample space, games for the teens, and a wonderful garden area. The best part of the property was the wonderful hosts. We came in late after many of the restaurants had closed and helped us get something to eat. They truly went above and beyond. It has great access to the Loire Valley chateaus and we wish we had more time at this location. The kitchen, coffee bar and bathroom were exceptional. Hats off to whoever the decorator was! "Pros: Gîte charmant et parfaitement au calme , avec le plaisir de sortir sur « son jardin ». Très bien equipé, et avec des équipements de qualité. Les hôtes sont très attentifs , ,accueillants, chaleureux, à la fois discrets et de bon conseil si besoin. D’une propreté remarquable, chaud (nous étions début avril) et aucune fausse note dans les essentiels (comme l’eau chaude et la pression idéale sous la douche) Un petit souci de wifi quand nous étions là mais je suis persuadée qu’il sera résolu."

"I didn’t expect it to be this good. I’d just booked the cheapest room, expecting a small room in the attic. But it was very large, newly renovated with an updated (excellent) shower. The AC was completely silent and cooled down the room effectively despite it being 99 F outside. The restaurant is okay for dinner and great for breakfast. We also enjoyed the pool table and walking along the little river nearby. Best chateau stay we had on this trip 10/10"

La Borde en Sologne Château & Spa

"My teen daughter loved our stay at Borde and me - a little less so. She was enchanted to stay in a chateaux and loved the grounds, animals, pools, grand decor etc. This is the place to stay for anyone who would enjoy the immersive experience. I found our room to be more rustic than expected. The floors have not been refurbished (ie they are original old and crumbly and I’m sure impossible to clean) and my feet were filthy the entire stay. They do provide slippers, which was very helpful. But we’d walk around the room and then go into the bathroom and immediately the beautiful white bathroom floor was covered in dirt. Breakfast was great one morning when we arrived at 8am and a gong show the morning we arrived at 9:30. Definitely go early to breakfast or they run out of food and dishes and do not replenish it as it closer to 10am closing time. Borde isn’t very close to other restaurants so we ate at the restaurant onsite 2 nights in a row. First night was fine, second was not good and very expensive. Spa pool was lovely. We also spent some time at the family pool which is tucked away by itself and not close to bathrooms or extra towels. Not super well thought out in terms of convenience for young families. Other notes: air conditioning worked very well, wifi was strong, bed very comfortable. Also the staff at reception were very friendly and helpful."

"As it happened it was the hottest day ever in France when we stayed and the air conditioning was excellent. Excellent mattresses. Very close to the motorway but we didn't hear any noise from it in the room. No restaurant in the hotel but a very short walk to an Italian restaurant which was fine. All in all I can see us staying at this hotel again."
