Relaxing Stay

You wake up to a wonderful side Porlock weir right in front of your window you see the weir the sea in the morning the sun blue skies and amazing sunsets. The property had everything you need, all very comfortable and cosy. The proprietors are very friendly and helpful. It’s just a beautiful relaxing stay.

Very cosy unique property with the best views

Just had a lovely four night stay with our small dog. Very clean, well appointed accommodation in an idyllic location. Wonderful walks from the door, cafes, pubs and hotel for drinks and food but equally good facilities to cook in the studio.

In terms of cooking facilities it is possible to prepare a cooked breakfast using the hob but you would struggle with an evening meal as there is no oven/grill. Breakfast options are very limited in the weir for self catering. Accommodation. Cafe and pottery shop next door had good coffee and cakes

Totally give this a full 100%. Owners were lovely. Couldn't do enough for us. Description of the studio apartment spot on, but you can't put fully into words the view from the property. If you're like us and enjoy doing a bit of people watching, this is definitely the place for you. Fishermen and other locals are really friendly. Area is so dog friendly,our Frenchie Reux enjoyed his many walks.

The studio is a great place for a short break. It is recently refurbished to a high spec with a comfy bed and great shower and equipped with all the important little things. The kitchenette is ideal for making breakfast and there are great options nearby for eating out. ( Ziang's is excellent, The Hotel on the Weir does great pizzas but avoid the a la carte ( very disappointing) Top Ship in Porlock is good, the tearoom in Bossington is fab). Porlock Weir is a fabulous place to stay. The views from the big window in the studio are great, especially the morning sunrise - and the shutters ensure privacy from people passing by the window (it was August and hot, so busy at the Weir!). The owners are very welcoming and friendly. We hope to return. Oh and having the parking space was a real bonus.
