「This is a very interesting, well-maintained home. There are fine decorating details appropriate to this vintage home. There are many items for guest comfort.」

「Smoking smell in the room. First thing I see as I walk in is a roach on the floor. The bath tub also had a roach, once I washed that down the drain ants started to crawl out of the drain. Several more roaches were found during my stay.」

「Mattress was not comfortable」

「Staying at the Alexander Mansion felt like stepping back in time to an era of elegance and warmth. Every piece of furniture and every lamp tells a story—but what truly made this stay unforgettable was the hospitality of the 80-something host, a former chef, who graciously prepared a beautiful and heartfelt breakfast ceremony for us. His kindness and attention to detail gave our journey a sense of home and heartfelt care. Thank you for not only providing a charming place to stay, but for making...

「I would love to come back here next time I’m visiting Winona, only hotel around here that accepts people under 21. Rooms come with an AC unit which is soooooooooo nice. The staff seems cool too although I didn’t need to talk to them much because the place was just so good.」

「Nice clean property and friendly hosts. My only reason for. GOOD rating is my misunderstanding of the layout, we were up stairs and the living area downstairs. Not keen on stairs at our age. The thermostat was owned controlled and not located in our lodging area so things heated up during the day making it uncomfortable in the evenings. The owners did provide fans. I would recommend ceiling fans and maybe some split air units.」

「Very quaint, family friendly accommodations! Clean, well maintained and inviting. We loved the location and all the fun things to explore in the area. Would definitely stay here again.」

「This was a fabulous place to stay- clean, comfortable, beautiful and accessible.」

「A charming place to stay with a spacious primary bedroom, laundry room, and living areas. The backyard patio is a perfect place for a morning coffee and a quiet evening. We would definitely rebook on our next visit.」

「Very nicely-updated, clean property with everything you could want including lovely outdoor spaces. Property owner makes you sign a waiver - assumption seems to be you are going to destroy the place. Documentation provided by owner essentially indicates that neighbors have been advised to notify property owner of any “problems”, and multiple references to calling the police were also made in up-front documentation. Upon check-in there was a form waiting for us that wanted all sorts of...

「Booked this as a last minute mini spring break vacation and absolutely loved it. Will visit again. Cabin was adorable, clean and very well kept. Hammock chairs under cabin were the highlight of the trip. Found some games in the coffee table and it was nice to teach my son games that did not involve electronics. Bathhouse was very close by and exceptionally clean and well stocked. Shower was amazing. Puppy had a great time walking the trail with us. Easy drive to Whitewater State Park.」

「It's a very interesting place, making a unique niche for itself. 」

「Wonderful spot to chill. Common outdoor area had bags, fire pits, grills. Nice spot to meet and chat with other guests. Loved being able to just walk to dock and fish. Super relaxing and peaceful spot to stay.」
