This is the second time we stayed here. And we normally got to Missoula to visit family, and not so much doing activities outside the surrounding areas. So keep that in mind when reading this review ... Pros: * Walmart down the street and accessible from a non-busy street behind the hotel. * Lots of eateries within walking distance. "The Notorious Pig BBQ" is just next to it ... * Speaking of walking - the Bitterroot Trail passes right behind the hotel. So if you enjoy walking or biking into Missoula (including across town) and staying away from busy streets ... * Despite being on a very busy corner (Reserve and Brooks/aka, Old US 93), noise wasn't too bad. * For us, the location is perfect for vising family in Missoula. * Price is decent. * At both times here, the staff was friendly and helpful. Cons: * The hotel is at a corner of two very busy street. You really can't make a left turn onto either street most of the time. * Older building, so don't expect too much. * Not sure if this is normal, but 2nd floor side doors (as opposed to the lobby or the ends of the building) seems to be permeated with the smell of weed ... just saying. We recommend that if you stay here, ask for rooms away from the middle of the building, where the exits are. Noisy. This time we stayed on the third floor, north east corner, room 331 (king bed). Large bathroom. Quiet.

With all do respect the unwelcoming vibe you felt may have something to do with the fact that your girlfriend, your sister and yourself were asked to vacate our property on a previous stay due to supplying a fraudulent card for incidentals after suspicion of smoking in one of our rooms. With that being said we also placed you on our DNR list for future reservations, but seeing as you booked under a different name our system did not catch it. You chose to book a room at our establishment knowing that you were not supposed to come back on the property.

Property was nice. However the WiFi connection wasn’t available on the third floor at all and on the first floor after changing rooms was still only 1 bar, very weak. Staff was very nice. Breakfast is light, but free breakfast is free breakfast.

Originally we were trying to get a room as a walk in as we saw on their sign there was a special price for that. However the front desk person claimed there was no rooms and they were sold out. Booked on Expedia instead, as there were still rooms available. We just needed a place to stay for one night and this one was the cheapest option (Still $220 CAD though). When we came back to check in it took the front desk person 15 minutes to get to the desk and the phone number they have on the sign is just rings the desk. Our room upon entering Smelled of urine. There was a wet spot by the door (must have been a pet friendly room). Was told by the Front desk person that there is nothing they can do as they were super busy and haven't even had time to change the status of rooms to Clean yet. Overall disappointed will never stay there again, after being forced to book a different way and to have to sleep in a urine smelling room.

Nothing, it was a dive to say the least. The front desk help was always out for a smoke. They have no roll aways. The wifi was very spotty. The hotel in general needs to be updated. Homeless people walking around and having fits on the property was unsafe in late evening and early morning hours of our stay. I was unimpressed by this and as well as the dirty carpets and the fact that the tub was not draining properly to the point of not being able to shower without being grossed out. Keep in mind that we paid over $120 for one night, double what it was worth and left feeling we were ripped off. You can do better!

Our keycard stopped working after one day of our 2 day trip, and they couldn’t get it to work no matter how many times they tried. The front desk person was super helpful, but they couldn’t fix the problem. Even though the desk clerk contacted the manager, the manager never reached out to us to apologize, offer a discount, nothing. They left the poor desk clerk to let us into our room every time we needed to leave and come back, which was 6 or 7 times. The behavior of the manager has lost Fairview 2 customers forever. We will never go back and we will tell everyone we know never to stay there
