FALLING WATERS COLO VALE

Welcome to Falling Waters Colo Vale. Colo Vale (colloquially known as the Vale) is situated North of the Historic towns of Berrima, Bowral and Mittagong, 5kms from the Hume Hwy and 125km from Sydney CBD.

The beautiful Southern Highlands is one of the most unique places in NSW. The Highlands are renowned for its history, stunning scenery, wines and pies, beautiful walks and waterfalls.

If you are looking for a romantic weekend, quick getaway, quiet escape in a stunning location, Falling Waters Colo Vale has everything you need. A fully self contained log cabin with open fire, luxury king size bed, kitchen for all your needs.

Richard and Deb are your hosts along with Brent and Mykala and our 4 fur Goldie’s. They are often wandering around the property, extremely friendly and rule the roost, there are 14 chickens 8 sheep, 2 Alpacas and we also have resident Wombats which come out late at night if your lucky you might see them! There is so much abundant bird life we just take a guess on what we can hear and see, Kangaroos also pop up for a visit every now and then.

There are NOT a lot of shops near the property, Hill Top which is 5kms up the road which is closest has a Chinese Restaurant and is open most days, the Bakery which also makes chicken, pies, pastries etc, a Newsagent, Post Office and Bottle shop, there is also a take away shop which has really nice Pizzas, there are brochures for you to browse in the manifest in the kitchen. There are plenty of restaurants and supermarkets in Mittagong and Bowral.

As an added bonus we are located 15 minutes away from the Southern Highlands wineries and all that the Southern Highlands has to offer.

Falling Waters Colo Vale is situated on 35 acres, you are free to walk around the property but we ask that if you have a pet with you please keep your pet on a leash due to the fact that the property has a lot of bush and wildlife.

The luxury log cabin is a home away from home and is positioned for privacy from the main house an offers comfort and parking availability. Unfortunately there is no WIFI in the cottage.

Overall a lovely little place .. selling point the enclosed yard as we have a girl who likes to meander(dog)... Beautiful bathroom with rain shower(our rental we love on currently has simple shower so the rain shower..omg delightful).fire place as well as AC very helpful as now aware colovale is a bit chilly haha cleanliness absolutely no issues... plenty of logs for fire .. window sills typical old cottage style but bend out of shape and no blind on door..but no issues with windows as only one we opened was kitchen. Recliner broken or bend out of shape also but functionable.plenty of cooking supplies/utensils.. and bathroom accessories with thanks.amazing Birdlife including my favourite the kookaburra..mild downfall we're private people and although no security privacy issues affected, meeting owner once on the beautiful tree lined driveway which was a lovely walk, the close proximity to main house-although still quiet and peaceful...the farm dogs making sure we knew who's home it was haha.all bark I'm sure...no issues just yeah not as private secluded as we expected.. we enjoyed the log fire a lot and the bed very comfortable.... thankyou deb very much ...we will recommend this place..it was just what we needed at this time.be sure to look at he book in the room staying local wineries etc..we neglected to and wished we did

The accommodation is literally right next to the main house, the massive shed and all the stockpiles of dirt less than 50 meters away is a site for sore eyes. Photos are deceiving and it’s definitely not a little romantic stay.

Clean, comfortable, quiet and affordable place for our inter-generational meet up, suitable for all ages with a fenced yard for our dog. Kids loved seeing the chickens (fresh eggs), sheep and alpacas. About 20 mins drive from Bowral so still accessible to local attractions.

We had a beautiful stay, it was just short of perfect. It would have been nice to include breakfast. Fresh eggs on hand due to all the chickens on the property. Dust on window sills was disappointing. But don't get me wrong our stay was lovely. Walked around to see the sheep, chickens and alpacas. Lovely outdoor areas available. It was cozy, sherpa blankets supplied on the recliners, i could have easily have slept on it the night.

What a lovely hidden gem Falling Waters is. Most comfortable bed and pillows we’ve ever had at any accommodation. Very clean and well appointed and felt like just being at home. Deb was wonderful to deal with and we will certainly be beck again.

Perfect spot to relax!

Lovely property in a great location - close to the Southern Highlands shops/pubs/wineries if you'd like to go into town, far enough away for complete solitude if you prefer. We loved relaxing and walking around the property visiting the animals. The house is very clean and has everything you need. Check in process was easy and communication was great. Highly recommend for a relaxing weekend away!
