"Es war einfach bezaubernd.Abseits der Touristenmassen liegt Kens kleines, idyllisches Anwesen. Er holte uns am Nachmittag persönlich vom Fähranleger ab und brachte uns in etwa zwanzig Minuten zu seinem Hof, der wie eine Oase inmitten unberührter Natur wirkt. Hier findet man alles, was Selbstversorger brauchen: traditionelle japanische Tatami-Matten und Futons zum Schlafen, eine voll ausgestattete Küche, einen gemütlichen Aufenthaltsraum, viel Platz im Garten und ein japanisches Bad, das zum Entspannen einlädt – mit Blick auf den Garten und das weite Meer.Ohne Nachbarn oder andere Gäste genießt man hier ein einzigartiges, naturverbundenes Erlebnis, bei dem eine Nacht ganz sicher nicht ausreicht. Tagsüber – und ja, man wird jeden Tag mit dem Auto zurück in den lebendigeren Teil der Insel gebracht – bietet diese Unterkunft die wunderbare Gelegenheit, Miyajima auf besonders erholsame Weise zu erleben."

"Our room was clean but only had shower, no toilet. We had to share the toilet with other guests and it Stunk terribly!!! It was a disgusting dirty sewer smell! Never again!!!"

"Wonderful place to stay for a true Japanese experience. The location in town is close to all major sites, but also very quiet. We had an added surprise of being able to watch fireworks from a unique place, known to locals (with the owner’s help)! The sashimi was amazing as was the breakfast. Just before leaving, we had a family crisis that required a change of plans. They were very helpful, which was both comforting and calming."

The most exceptional things about the hotel are the staff and the cleanliness of this traditional type of accommodation. The onset was a nice bonus in a very economical room central to everything on the island. "
