“When we arrived a notice said we could order logs for the hot tub but on contacting the person he was away until the following week so a bit disappointing Also it stated shampoo body wash etc would be available but we had nothing The overall experience was brilliant just a couple of little tweaks needed ”

“We enjoyed the house and community neighborhood. Perfect set up for a family of 4 with most everything we needed. It wasn’t quite set up in the kitchen as there weren’t enough place settings and we couldn’t get all the burners on the stove to light. We liked the backyard and it was a quick walk to the neighborhood Tesco Express. It was probably our inexperience with UK showers but we could get the water temperature not to be scalding. Overall we enjoyed our stay.”

“The Snug is in a good location to visit the Forest of Dean area and Wales. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and live on site. They have thoughtfully provided everything you need for a short break. It is well presented and although overlooking a main road is quiet and has parking at the rear. ”

“The location was perfect for our needs, and the check-in process was very easy. The parking was easy and useful. The host was very communicative and easy to reach, and she graciously offered us a late check-out after a miscommunication about the amenities. "Hotel is quite new in comparison with other International brand hotels in that area. Comfortable bed, room nice and clean. Within walking distance to CBD and tourist area. However, the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night around 1:30am and we learned the next day that it’s a fire drill. That’s totally ridiculous to me. I’ve travelled around the world in the past 50 yrs and never came across any hotel like this. The fire alarm woke all hotel guests without prior notice nor explanation on site. Guests including myself needed to run around to check out what’s happening. Hope they never ever do this again. We’re extremely tired after a whole day’s travelling and desperately needed a good night’s sleep. "
