“La Senesina” is an enchanting apartment immersed in the exquisitely beautiful Tuscan countryside, just 4 km from Siena, 8 km from Monteriggioni, and approximately 5 km from the raccordo autostradale Siena/Firenze (Siena/Florence highway.) Recently restored apartment situated in an historic 16th Century ex-convent, whose significance is recognized by the Department of Monuments and Fine Arts of Siena. Furnished with great care down to the finest detail, ideal for a romantic weekend or a pleasant week with family immersed in art and nature. In the immediate vicinity there are walking/trekking trails (see Cai maps) and horseback riding facilities.

Great Place and super nice Host. Location is very nice, top equiped and located only a couple of minutes away from Siena. Trip to Tuscany

We spent four nights here and used this as a base for Sienna, Chianti, and other cities in the area. The place was just as described in the VRBO and we loved it. They even provided extras to get us started like milk, coffee, juice and other items which made our evening much nicer. The beds were very comfortable. The one thing to be aware of is the GPS may give you a different city than Sienna but follow it be because it’s right. And the night sky is amazing. Be ready for country quiet and the rooster waking you up. We enjoyed this. It is a quick drive to multiple destinations but you will need to drive to dinner or breakfast if not cooking in, but again, the relaxing away from it all was worth it for us. We would recommend this place. Lots of parking and very easy communication.

This was such a wonderful place and exactly what we were looking for. It is located in quiet beautiful surroundings and close enough to visit Siena and other attractions. Andrea was very friendly and was a wealth of information. For dinner, there is a restaurant a couple of minutes drive away and the food is excellent. There really is nothing that we would have changed.

Our only glitch was our inability to follow the directions accurately to check-in!! But that little miss did absolutely nothing to spoil the professionalism and geniality that characterized my rental experience of this delightful property. It is beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, and uniquely positioned. It was an ideal location for us from which to easily explore (by car) a variety of Tuscan towns, and as others have said before us, it was a space of serenity to return to after a day’s hiking or touring.

Quaint Tuscan Getaway

La Senesina, is a lovely place to stay if you want to immerse yourself in the Tuscan country side. The apartment is in an old monastery filled with beautiful original features like huge timber beams on the ceiling and terracotta flooring. The furnishing are modern but work really well with it's surrounds. Also, you get very spoilt with some of Andrea's amazing photography hanging on the walls. It's lovely and clean and well appointed with extras like basic cooking condiments, cereals, jams, even laundry liquid etc. Barbara and Andrea are great hosts. Any questions we had were answered promptly. Our one recommendation is to have a car as it is a little out of the way to walk to places. But in saying that, the remoteness is a nice compromise as it is so peaceful. We would definitely recommend La Senesina. Thank you Barbara and Andrea for sharing such a special place with us.

Lovely apartment, lovely location!

We were sad to leave La Senesina! The historic building and the surrounding countryside are beautiful. The apartment itself is tastefully decorated and thoughtfully stocked. It served as a great base for us as we explored Tuscany. Despite extreme heat during our visit, we remained comfortable with help from high-quality fans. Interactions with the owners were smooth and pleasant. We hope to return!
