Wonderful stay

We had a lovely stay in this cute little room right in the middle of Monterosso. There was a kettle and fridge in the room and a wonderful bakery just outside our door. There were eateries everywhere nearby.

Cinque Terre

Our stay was amazing and I would have changed a thing. The hotel was clean and comfortable and located in the heart of old town. We loved that the entire room was purple.

Très déçue!!!

Horaire d’arrivée prévue par l’établissement à 11h, nous sommes arrivés a 11h30, et avions prévenu, elle venait de commencer a faire le ménage!!!!! Du coup nous a proposé de laisser nos affaires, et de revenir 30 min plus tard, nous sommes revenus 45 min plus tard, elle n’avait meme pas fini, et est passé JUSTE avec une éponge humide sur le lavabo et les toilettes!! Hygiène a déplorer! Très déçue, surtout pour 140€ la nuit!

I took us an hour to check in. Once we arrived we tried calling, texting, emailing, messaging the host and she did not respond for an hour. Her phone was off even though she was expecting us on this day. She did buy us dinner to make up for the delay. But we only had 48 hours in this location and spent 1 hour of it sitting outside with our luggage trying to get in our unit.

Unexpected result: double payments

The booking confirmation said: The hotel will charge you XXX,XX€. ...Amount to pay at hotel in the local currency XXX,XX€, and Payment details: Price per room per night XXX,XX€, Total to be charged by the hotel XXX,XX€ . With all these instructions, we paid the hotel owner above amount + service tax upon her request (and she did not give us receipt, instead she told us that hotels.com will send us receipt). Then we have been charged again by hotels.com on my credit card. Spent already 4 days still no result. That makes me feel frustrated. hotels.com and my credit card company and I myself can not get touch with the hotel. Suggestion to other customers, please call booking company before departure to make sure whom to be paid if your booking confirmation has similar words as I listed above.

Siamo stati nell appartamento viola al pian terreno ..la doccia non si fa ..era troppo sporco .come si fa?! Io vorrei vedere se la proprietaria farebbe la doccia in quelle condizioni ??..non credo troppo sporco..

Nel complesso buona.

Appartamento comodo, ben tenuto, con anche un angolo cottura non presente nella descrizione della struttura (sul sito). Unica pecca l'attesa sia per il check-in (penso circa un quarto d'ora, in parte comprensibile), ma soprattutto per il check-out (più di mezz'ora).

Nice enough room but check in and out was a bit of a pain, ended up ringing the host as no one was available at the room, no details given in advance of what to do on arrival. When checking out also 20 minutes later than agreed which added to the frustration. Nice location but we stayed 3 nights in 3 different places and this was the worst and the most expensive, look around

Comfortable and price-worthy stay

Claudia is a very friendly and helpful host. The room is cosy, clean and very well equipped. Wifi is stable and fast. Location is great as it is very close to the beach! Highly recommended if you're considering to stay at Monterosso during your Cinque Terre trip!

Clean and cute room

It was very clean and Claudia was very nice and helpful. We stayed for 2 nights unfortunately there was a problem with the wifi for one day during our stay which is a bit of inconvenience as travelers. Before booking I noticed on other reviews people mentioned that the breakfast was good, however we just got tickets to go to a little restaurant for coffe, bread and jam or croissant...I was a bit surprised but just wanted to share it so others don't go high on breakfast expectations. The owner of the restaurarant was very nice. Pros: clean, close to amenities Cons: it was not easy to find, the bathrooms are tiny. if you are traveling by car beware that parking can be expensive.

Lovely small apartment style rooms

Room was beautifully decorated with an incredible bathroom. Great to have the option of cooking but be careful, the wiring resulted in.a short black out when we had both burners and the heater going at once. The hotel owner was fabulous, eager to help and accommodate things like early check out. She came to fix the lights almost straight away despite being at her home at the time. Cannot stress how amazing the bathroom is, best shower I've seen in Italy.

Nice apartment hotel

There is no reception and you need to contact owner by phone which is not good if you don't have one. Big room, clean and good facilities. Located in old town, 15 minute walk from train station.

Great for the price!

We reserved this stay short notice and it was much cheaper than the hotels in the area. Claudia is very pleasant and the free breakfast at a restaurant was great. Room is not too small for Italy. Location is great as it was only 15 min walk from Train.

We did not get to stay here as it was overbooked. The booking site handled it well and found a lovely alternative nearby - the ratings (apart from Service and Overall apply to the alternative) The only odd thing is that following our stay, hotel contacted the booking sit claiming we cancelled ourselves so we lost our loyalty rewards and insisted to claim so even after we submitted a proof that we did not cancel but were overbooked. I would not recommend it only for this act of dishonesty.
