A environ proximité d'Argelès, de Collioure des Pyrénées et de l'Espagne, cette localisation offre la possibilité de varier les activités et les plaisirs. La piscine est top et bien entretenue. "We travel extensively and rarely have we been to such a beautiful hotel set in the most fantastic location. Our room was clean and comfortable, our meals in the restaurant superbly presented by cheerful and helpful staff, and the young male receptionist so very friendly. We would normally have given the property full stars EXCEPT we were very unhappy with the fact that a dog was allowed to roam around the serving and seating areas whilst guests were having breakfast. Too unhygienic for us! It appeared to belong to a member of staff who was not at all concerned that the dog was wandering around, sometimes taking food from diners. This was so wrong!"

Large 17 bedroom holiday home in French Pyrenees with private garden and pool

"Everything completely exceeded expectations - the house, location, amenities and Martin's responsiveness and generosity. Martin very kindly allowed us to arrive early and to leave mid afternoon, excellent communication, nothing was too much trouble. There were 16 of us - 6 parents, 4 grown up offspring and their partners plus two children aged 7 and 11. Everyone had an absolutely fantastic time. Something for everyone.Thoughtfully restored ex hotel with comfortable spaces to gather and quiet areas to retreat to. Kitchen was really well equipped for large groups with 2 x 5 ring gas cookers, 2 big ovens, big pans, bowls, as well as industrial sinks. Masses of space to eat inside and out. Expected to eat out more but ease of cooking meant we ate at home mostly.Weather was hot so we made the most of the huge 9mx5m pool and barely had time for the pool table or table tennis but good to have the choice. It was 3 mins walk to the square with boulangeries, gelato, music and dancing in the evening. Interesting strolls around this historic village/small town and more strenuous walks up from the house into the surrounding hills/mountains for stunning views and river swimming. It was really liberating having so much on the doorstep without having to drive and only a short drive to ancient towns, forts, monasteries and abbeys, plus 'le trein jaune'. Perfect! Absolutely loved it. Planning our return. Thanks so much Martin."

"Spacious and cool apartment in a small complex. The kitchen is small but has two cooker rings, a fridge, kettle and microwave. There is an oven in the shared section together with a washing machine, dryer and big freezer. The on-site restaurant is good, set meals only and only open for dinner at the weekend when we were there. Breakfast available every day if pre-booked. A nice pool that was popular with families. A 10 min drive into Banyoles for main shops. Overall, a good value place for a few days stay, or longer."

"Puerta España gives you the chance to re-Live the 70s in a hotel with character which allows time travel. I enjoyed seeing for the things time doesn't change. Great value for money. Great stop in a city where a packet of cigarettes is 4€ and in North of France is 13€. Enjoy your stay!"
