「Great place to stay in central Monrovia 」

「This is the BEST hotel in Liberia. The staff were friendly, courteous, attentive and very professional. The food was authentic Liberian food with a great selection of international options. Everything was incredible! Great ambiance, a very clean establishment, amazing food, and a nice pool area; casino, cigar bar, spa & more. I will be going back - this is my new spot in LIB! 」

「Extremely noisy Mac wine outside my window. TV Chanels were mostly scrambled - not the hotels fault. It's over-priced for its quality, but then anything in Liberia used by overseas visitors will prove to be so. A similar hotel in the US would struggle to charge $75.」

Very large investment made here to modernize this hotel: bathrooms new with strong pressure and hot water plentiful, comfortable beds and bedding. Restaurant and bar service with actual edible cuisine, (well, food) and espresso. Decor is pretty spartan though, merely functional. Staff and management is responsive and professional. City Hotel is the only viable hostelry in this immediate vicinity. Unless you need specifically...
