I wish we’d spent more time at Cooks Bay Resort! A quick 20 minute taxi ride from the ferry dock on Moorea brings you to a lovely open air entrance looking over a beautiful infinity pool and private beach. The rooms are large suites with kitchenettes. Very comfy bedding and beds. Gorgeous waterfront restaurant with delicious food and drinks. We can’t wait to visit again.

Here's a draft ready to paste: --- We stayed five nights at Cook's Bay Hotel & Suites in October 2026, and unfortunately we can't recommend it. The room had ants, cockroaches, and even a lizard — not acceptable for a hotel stay. Amenities were limited, and the place felt tired rather than the tropical escape it presents itself as. Worst of all was the staff. They seemed uninterested from the start, with a bad attitude, and when we needed help they were extremely unhelpful. Problems were met with indifference rather than any attempt to put things right. Moorea itself is beautiful, and we had a wonderful time elsewhere on the island — but this hotel let our stay down. We would not stay here again.

The property was simply beautiful and the staff very friendly. We quickly became fell in love with a dog whom hangs around the resort but does not bother guests in any way. Very relaxing and calm atmosphere with amazing views of the sunset. I would highly recommend this place.
