Thanks for your request. Our shuttle is free of charge at arrival and departure. During your stay we charge CHF 3.5 a person (minimal CHF 7.00 a way). Would be great to see you again at the Salina Maris hotel!

This hotel has nothing to do with 4 stars - amenities are rather old, there is a strange smell everywhere in the hotel, towels are greyish and shabby. Room is big and rather clean, but far from what you expect from 4 stars. Breakfast is quite basic.

Dear Anna thank you for your review. We are sorry, that you didn't like our hotel. Our hotel is soon 50 years old, but is regularly renovated. However, we understand if you don't like our somewhat old-fashioned vintage style, if you are bothered by certain old-fashioned details or if you are disturbed by the somewhat idiosyncratic - but permissible - implementation of the rules for a 4-star hotel. It's all a matter of taste, and many of our guests appreciate it. The slight smell in the hallways is related to our spacious, 800-square-meter spa area. It's a smell of brine, the wonderfully relaxing healing fluid in our large brine thermal pool. Your host

Schöne Unterkunft, geräumige Zimmer, freundliches Personal. Sauberkeit ist in der Schweiz ohnehin selbstverständlich. Schwimmbad und Sauna sind nach einer anstrengenden Wanderung genau das Richtige. Musste man wg. Corona reservieren, war aber immer was frei. Das Hotel hat keinen eigenen Parkplatz, bekommt aber auf dem Gemeinde-Parkplatz einen reduzierten Tarif. Zu Fuß vom Bahnhof sind's ca. 10 Minuten bei guter Kondition, sonst eher 15 bis 20.

Sehr freundliches Personal. Alles war sehr sauber, tolles Corona-Konzept. Das Frühstück konnte man sich ohne Aufpreis aufs Zimmer bestellen. Super war auch der Shuttle-Service ins Dorf. Die Anlage ist schon etwas älter, dafür fanden wir den Preis an der oberen Grenze

Schmuddelig, alt, überteuert:Einmal und nie wieder
Wir verbrachten ein "Wochenende ohne Kinder" im Salina Maris. Altes Hotel, dem man leider ansieht, dass während den letzten 20 Jahren nichts oder nicht viel investiert wurde. Preis/Leistung steht in einem absoluten Ungleichverhältnis: Ablauf im Bad verstopft, Hitze im Zimmer, die trotz offenem Fenster nachts nicht reguliert werden kann, uraltes Mobiliar, Silikonfugen über Schimmelflecken in der Dusche, kein Abendessen im Hotel, sondern man wird runter ins Dorf in ein Restaurant geschickt und die Gänge sind schmuddelig. Der einzige Lichtblick war die schöne Umgebung, die Landschaft und die Nähe zu den Talstationen Riederalp und Bettmeralp. Unser Fazit: Einmal und nie wieder.

Wir wurden freundliche im Hotel empfangen, in dem wir für eine Nacht ein Zimmer gebucht hatten. Leider wurden wir in der Dependance untergebracht. In einer "Ferienwohnung" an der es zwar an nichts mangelte, die jedoch schon sehr abgewohnt war. In einem normalen Zimmer hätten wir uns 1 Nacht wohl wohler gefühlt. Wir hoffen, VINTAGE im Hotelnamen bezieht sich nicht auf den abgewohnten Zustand der Zimmer. Unserer Meinung ein überteuerter Aufenthalt.

Sehr geehrter Beat Herzlichen Dank für Ihre Bewertung. Sie wurden in der Dependance untergebracht, da Sie ein entsprechendes Studio in der Dependance gebucht hatten. Es ist aus unserer Ausschreibung klar ersichtlich, dass der Qualitätsstandard in der Dependance tiefer ist, als im Haupthaus. Das trifft auch auf die Preise zu, welche tiefer sind. Trotzdem konnten Sie von allen Vorteilen des Hotels und des Spas profitieren, was auch den Preis rechtfertigt. Normalerweise nehmen wir keine Upgrads von der Dependance ins Haupthaus vor, da wir davon ausgehen, die Gäste in der Dependance möchten von der dort zusätzlich angebotenen Kochmöglichkeit Gebrauch machen.

Please don't get fooled by the Hotel website
This hotel didn't match any of my expectations. Everything is "overdue" in this place! Lobby, reception area, swimming pool, spa and rooms are very old, the whole place needs a deep renovation. Awful breakfast. I always trusted Hotels.com, but I don't really understand how they could rate the Salina Maris a 4 stars facility ! Please, do NOT waste your money in this place.

Dear Claudio Thank you for your very special review. I don't think, we would have been rated 4 star by Hotelstar Union and hotelleriesuisse, if we would be as awfull as you wrote. What we accept is, that in times of Corona there are some special arrangements: The lobby is a bit empty, as we have to respect the distance, the breakfast is not at all awfull but it's no buffet, as we serve it in the room, a.s.o. What we also can accept is, if you don't like our style which is not modern but more familiar and cosy (gemütlich). Most of our guests like it very much. Fortunatly! We are shure, that our guests DON'T WASTE their money in our place, if they are looking for a nice, small spa hotel with a 800 sqm spa and a quiet situation in one of the greatest hiking and skiing regions of the world. La Réceptionniste et le personnel parlent parfaitement le français, machine à café à disposition gratuitement dans le hall d'entrée, très bon petit déjeuné varié. Le SPA est surveillé et la piscine d'eau salée est très sympa, hammam et sauna parfait. Rien à redire, vraiment au top

Great experience for visit in Aletsch Arena area
It was a good experience stay here in Aletsch area. After skiing we can have a rest in the pool and the well-being room. Colleagues here are friendly and helpful. It is convenience as they have transportation to send us to the ski station and to the town (scheduled) for dinner and arrival - departure.

Aufenthalt war nur für eine Nacht und wir haben die Infrastruktur des Hotels nicht gross benutzt. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Check-In speditiv. Alle Zimmer eher grösser als üblich, sehr sauber. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig und sehr schmackhaft. Genügend Parkplätze zu einem moderaten Tagespreis von CHF 7.00. Preis-Leistung geht so in Ordnung. Würde sicher jederzeit wieder dort übernachten.

I can’t say enough good about this place in fact I liked it so much I extended my trip and came back :) everything is perfect but the best this is the hoteliers Francesca and Markus. Wonderful people who really made my trip with their kind attention and information. Locally there is so much to do, just walking and seeing waterfalls and mountains is delightful and I also went para gliding, and in Zermatt there is year round skiing and shopping. I made good use of the quiet and efficiently run wellness centre every time I returned home tired and felt alive and refreshed and ready to go again :) thank you so much; really appreciate all you have done.

Prix du parking CHF 7,50 pour une nuit et navette depuis l'hôtel jusqu'au télécabine de Morel. Grande chambre, pas forcément bien insonorisée. Très bon petit-déjeuné Café et boissons chaudes en libre service à la réception, très agréable. Piscine d'eau salée avec jets sous-marins agréable. Sauna et hamman en libre service avec la chambre. Vous pouvez profiter des installations de piscine et autres le jour du départ de votre séjour, très agréable. Télévision à taille agréable avec les chaines françaises

Das Hotel überrascht mit sein Unkompliziertheit. Ich wurde sehr freundlich empfangen. Das Zimmer war gross und sonnendurchflutet. Schöne Terrasse mit bequemem Liegestuhl. Grosses Bad mit Liegewiese. Wellness habe ich nicht benutzt, da es an der Sonne genügend ehiss war. Super Frühstück. in geräumigem Frühstücksraum mit Terrasse. Alles in allen eineangenehmer Aufenthalt in einer unaufgeregten, persönlichen Atmosphäre.

Notre navette restaurant vous emmène gratuitement dans les deux restaurants au centre du village: "Aletsch" avec cuisine valaisanne et "Relais Walker" avec spécialités asiatiques. Comme mentionné ci-dessus, d'autres restaurants sont un peu plus éloignés et ne sont pas accessibles sans voiture. (Malheureusement les transports publics en campagne ne sont pas aussi bien développés que dans les centres urbains suisses.) This hotel is not a 4 star!
We were so surprised that this hotel is ranked with 4 stars on hotels.com. We had a rough time finding the hotel. It's off the main road quite a bit. Our room had an unpleasant odor. There are pictures of a fabulous pool online but it doesnt exist. Apparently they are in the process of renovating. The room didn't have tissues and one of the windows was cracked all the way through. The positives are a friendly hotel staff that can speak English and an amazing view.

Everything was superb!!!! Great pool with salt water open till late hours, breakfast was good. Rooms are furnished with furniture which have some years, but it is just tiny thing in very good hotel :-)
