Staff were friendly and helpful. Lift was out of order for all of our stay which was not good as I have arthritis in both knees, left hip and right shoulder. There were a lot of stairs - this spoilt the holiday slightly for me

the lift was out of order, I have mobility issues so this was a big problem for me, our accommodation was on the second floor so there were lots of stairs. we didn't find the reception staff particularly friendly. The breakfast staff were really nice and helpful, also the breakfast was very good

We chose it for the spa which was well looked after and in good quality. The room was very tired, soft furnishing were ok but paint and decor was very old as was the bathroom. Food at the linden was adequate but at London prices. We only ate there once.

While this hotel is a little dated, it still has charm and some wonderfully warm and welcoming personnel. The quality and range of ingredients in the breakfast could be improved (especially the coffee) but the view in the breakfast room makes up for that.

Everything and all the staff were really great except for The Linden Tree Pub. Absolutely dire meal there. Would advise giving that a big miss. The Angler's Arms at Weldon Bridge is absolutely fab for evening meal. We all agreed best meal out ever. Breakfast at Linden Hall Restaurant was great too.
