Overall, the property was clean and tidy, the staff were really friendly and helpful and the food was decent. However, one of the rooms had no working shower and despite reporting it first thing in the morning, it still wasn’t repaired when my dad returned. They did offer to move him to another room, but it was late and he just wanted to get to bed. Also, the beds were really uncomfortable and the pillows were so thin, I had to use all 4 of them. Rooms would benefit from blackout blinds/curtains.

Staff were helpful & friendly. Family room was spacious, clean enough (except used tissue under bed) the room does need updated. There was an unpleasant damp odour in the room, had the windows opened for a few hours to freshen the room. Breakfast and the service next morning was great. Overall the 1 night stay served a purposed although the rooms in this old hotel definitely need updated.

Staff were all lovely and very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean overall, could perhaps do with someone to clean the bathroom with a fresh pair of eyes as some areas are being overlooked. Overall though, excellent value and we would happily go back - would recommend.

All bathrooms need updating and decor and carpets need gone. Definitely the WiFi needs sorting out so you can get on it when you are in your room I wanted to chill out and watch Netflix but no internet Apart from that always a lovely stay and they accept dogs which is fab

This centrally located hotel is perfect for a trip in or around Morpeth. We were a group of four in two rooms. The rooms were large and spacious, and the beds comfortable and clean. The rooms and public areas would benefit from some decoration as they detract from the fantastic customer service the staff offers. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again if we were in the area

On first arrival, we were relieved, as the hotle seemed quite nice. However, after we walked down the stairs to our room, we were hit with a strong smell of damp, which unfortunately also smelled quite strongly in the room. We were also at street level with a public pavement right outside, so didn't feel like we could leave the windows open safely.

Staff were very friendly at check-in/checkout and lovely at breakfast. Food was fresh with lots of choice. Room was a good size and very comfy bed. A bit of noise from the main road and the only downside was that the "hot" water was lukewarm. But only stayed one night so wasn't a massive issue. Would stay again. :)

Courteous staff, good value and a good breakfast. Location is convenient for centre of Morpeth. Parking available as well, which is necessary for us. Decor is in need of refreshing and plumbing (including some showers) is far from perfect. All in all, a good place for a one night stay, but not ideal for a longer stop.
