"If you are looking for somewhere central this apartment is in the very centre of town and the Saturday market. It is not for those less able as there are 3 flights of stairs to the apartment. When you are at the front door the neighbours dog barks. We appreciate there is nothing that can be done about this. "Lovely oldy worldy pub accomodation in a lovely setting right next to the river and in a small quaint village. Great Pizzas and breakfast. Very cosy. Rooms quite small but comfy beds. Would return."

"The staff were brilliant, friendly, helpful and polite. The position of the hotel was excellent for exploring the area. The room size was fine and the amenities good. What the room needed was air conditioning, I realise it is extreme heat and a fan was provided but I believe it was way too hot and oppressive. The water system was ropey and waiting for the water to arrive and the bathroom in general needed updating. However the room was clean."

The accommodation was great (we stayed in a lodge), the staff were helpful and friendly, the food was great (Sunday roast buffet highly recommended), room was clean and well maintained and the bar and gardens were wonderful. "We were attending a gig a Ludlow Castle, most accommodation was booked or expensive at Ludlow for the night of the gig so we chose to stop at Stokestay Hotel because there was a train station close that we could catch there and back. The Stokesay staff were friendly and helpful, the room was clean and tidy, breakfast was excellent and bar prices good so we would not hesitate to stop there again."
