Séjour agréable

En général, ce fut une semaine agréable dans cette vieille maison bien rénovée. La piscine et l’aménagement extérieur ont ensoleillé nos fins de journées. Toutefois, la chaleur était accablante à l’étage. Les petites bestioles du marais étaient bruyantes la nuit et attention aux poutres de plafond qui ont failli provoquer quelques commotions cérébrales. L’hôte fut chaleureux mais nous sommes déçus de la communication suite a un dommage accidentel à la tapisserie.

accueil très chaleureux du propriétaire. communication très facile. le gite est situé en plein campagne ........ tranquillité assurée.Il est aménagé avec beaucoup de goût, très cocooning. Tous les équipements nécessaires pour passer un agréable séjour dans la région.

Incredible, Outstanding, Marvellous

We had an issue with our booking on our day of arrival. Christophe was amazing to rapidly find a solution for us by..proposing his own house that is marvellous. Not sure he will be ready to do it again but he fully trust us and prepared everything for us on the spot. We have never had such a worndeful host, ready to accomodate and give a new experience. Great and all kudos to him as he is the best. THanks again, Oscar

Home sweet home

Excellent séjour chez Christophe . C’est simple : tout est parfait. Maison ancienne, mais avec tout le confort moderne, la beauté du site, le jardin . On s’y sent très bien, parfait pour un groupe de 4 ou 6. Nous avons passé un excellent moment. De plus, Christophe est charmant et toujours prêt à répondre à vos demandes. 20/20

Excellent!

The property is very well looked after and Christophe was a superb host. He gave some great tips for restaurants and was available whenever we needed help. Lovely location and easy to get to the chateau. I’d say you do need a car to stay here. Also, and this was my fault for not reading carefully enough, the fourth bedroom area is not separate so someone has to sleep in an area that others walk through.

Viel Positives: Geräumiges, schönes Haus mit ansprechender Ausstattung, schöne, zentrale Lage in der Nähe von Amboise, ein freundlicher Vermieter, der per SMS schnell erreichbar ist, allerdings nur französisch spricht. Wir (ein Paar plus zwei Freunde) haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein paar einschränkende Kleinigkeiten wären zu erwähnen: Die Adresse wird von diversen Navigationssystemen nicht gefunden, die Straße ist in der Michelin-Karte nicht verzeichnet, und die Wegbeschreibung unseres Navis führte über einen Feldweg! Cher Mr. Bréard, pourriez-vous donner une explication détaillée du voie à votre gite pour la premier arrivé, s'il vous plait! Die Ausstattung war im Detail etwas knapp: Ersatzrollen Klopapier, vielleicht ein Spülmaschinen-Tab pro Tag, mehr als ein Geschirrtuch für eine Woche wären nützlich. Und der Hinweis, man möge sich um Reinlichkeit bemühen und die Schuhe bei Betreten des Hauses ausziehen, ist nicht wirklich notwendig. Es gibt keine empfindlichen Teppiche!

Great house

We (2 families, 4A 3C) had a fantastic stay in Christophe’s gite. It’s a beautiful, old building, full of chararacter and beautifully decorated. It’s located in a quiet hamlet, but is ideally located between Tours and Blois with many chateaux within a short drive. There is a large supermarket in Amboise, about 10 mins drive away. The gite was very comfortable with seating/eating areas inside and out. The splash pool was a big hit with the children and great for cooling down in the warm summer days/evenings. There are three distinct bedrooms plus a day bed in a curtained-off area that can be used as a fourth bedroom, as well as bathrooms upstairs and downstairs so easy for two families to share the property. Obviously in such an old property there was no aircon but fans are provided upstairs. The kitchen is well stocked and there is a large fridge/freezer. The washing machine in one of the outbuildings was also really useful. Wi-fi was a little slow and worked better in the garden than the gite itself but it was fine. Christophe was a superb host. He lives on the property but didn’t intrude but also answered any questions very promptly. I would highly recommend this gite to anyone looking to explore the Loire valley. It’s a beautiful property in a fantastic location.

Can't wait to go back !!

This old farm house has been beautifully renovated and made for a spacious and welcoming home base while we visited the region. Our favorite part might have been the living room / dinning room downstairs which was made even more inviting by the wood stove that Christophe had going when we arrived. He was a friendly and gracious host. I would recommend this home wholeheartedly and tell you that our only regret was not staying longer !!

Superb holiday home with every comfort and in a stunning setting

What a wonderful holiday cottage this is. The interior decor is the first thing you notice; there has been so much attention put into making this a home and not just some bland, cheap holiday rental. The layout of the gite is great with 3 bedrooms, bathroom and TV area upstairs and a master bedroom with shower room, kitchen and lounge/dinning area downstairs. The wood-burning fire was utter bliss during our wintery, festive stay and a Christmas tree had been put up to welcome us! I can imagine that anyone renting this in the summer would be delighted with the outdoor space and swimming pool.... however, we just ducked in and out of the garden as it was rather freezing during our stay. The location was just what we love - in the middle of countryside and vineyards with the sound of owls at night, the perfect getaway when you live in the city. Amboise is a 15 minute drive away, there is a fabulous swimming pool in Montrichard (25 mins away) for those who have kids and want a larger place to spash. Tours is 45 mins away on a clear run.... all in all, the perfect setting for getting to visit the Loire and its chateaux. Christophe the owner was lovely and very helpful before and during our holiday. Thank you Christophe!
