「The place was packed when we arrived, so book in if you can. We camped out and used the facilities which were very clean and acceptable. Had fun with other guests around the fire pit. Overall, very good.」

「Given the lack of other accommodation available in Port Elliot, the rate is rather high for a Youth Hostel. Room was a bit stuffy and had to keep the window open and the fan going to get rid of the musty smell. Very small ensuite and shower.」

「Comfortable beds. Lovely warm room. Very effective heating. Ground floor motel unit with parking outside. Towels too small. Bathroom kitchen and toilet area urgently needs an upgrade. Lovely cafe attached to motel. Great location in main street Goowla. Hard to find and not well light up if you arr new to Goowla and come in at night in the dark.」

「I thought the guy cleaning the car parking area could have left my parking g area or done it quickly as I waited ten minutes He proceeded to squirt dirt from pressure cleaner over my car which he did wash off after I complained 」

「Everything you could need. Right in town so could walk to local sights but quiet and very clean. Plenty of nibbles, juice and breakfast needs available. Also fresh pint of milk. I was visiting friends who live in Willunga and would stay again here if I come again. Would wholly recommend to my friends.」

「Went there primarily for the spa, which was great. Cannot recommend for anyone with mobility issues as the spa has no handrail for ease of entry and exit.」

「We loved our quiet getaway, and with Russell's help, enjoyed marshmallows on the fire pit across from a full moon rising over the lake. The accommodation is cosy, wonderfully decorated, and very well equipped. As other reviews have mentioned, the breakfast provisions were so very generous. The shower is hot and strong, and the beds super comfortable. The property is easily drive-able to Langhorne creek winery area and Strathalbyn, and we also enjoyed walking the lake path several times to the...

「Beautiful space - very clean and lovely furnishings. The bed was super comfy - it had everything we needed for our 1 night stay. Loved having brekki outdoors in the morning. The milk in the milk jug appeared to have split, but the other breakfast items provided were lovely. Thank you for a lovely stay.」

「Lavender Cottage is a beautiful place to relax and unwind. Tranquil gardens organised in a well thought out manner. A very generous supply of amenities, blankets, towels and pantry items. Many places throughout the property where you can find a quiet nook. Highly recommended getaway!」
