“Everything nice neat and clean”

“Very mixed on review, but after considering all factors we went with a poor rating. First off, we were not given the door entry code for arrival which caused us to wait outside until response from the owner. Games in the house were incomplete and in poor condition to include the pool table and foosball table. Floor in the pool table room was very uneven and bubbling, which caused it to crack. Water pressure in basement bathroom was really low. The only positive was the house location. Owner was……

“First I do want to say the host was very responsive! The house was not clean there was a broken window in the basement. I do think that should have said in the listing that the other couch and bathroom were in the basement! The bathroom floor in the basement was coming up. The house smelled very bad. The house is very cute it it was kept up on. We had issues with the place and addressed with the host and the host do respond and told us we could leave and they would understand. “It was clear that house was owned by a private equity firm and it was handled like a business. We had a multi month stay and only asked once for it to be cleaned once, and they charged us for the cleaning. Meanwhile, they would’ve paid for five or six cleanings themselves between normal stay guests.They did a good job renovating the house they bought though.”

“We stayed for 4 nights. When we arrived, there was a water leak from a ceiling window and a gap that allowed rain and snow inside. The leak and window were fixed right away, which we appreciated, but we still experienced a very loud, constant noise from the vent above the stove that kept us up, and maintenance said nothing could be done. “The listing picture wasn't even close. Front yard was part of marina with boat trailers and cars. House was filthy and in disrepair. Bedroom mattress was wrapped in moving plastic. It caved in through the bedspring when you sat on it. Carpet was so dirty and moldy that when you walked out of the bedroom, your shoes would stick. Not much furniture and furniture that was there was curb pick up quality. Dishes and appliances were dirty. TV in bedroom was on the floor in the closet. ……
