This hotel is located about 20 meters to the U-Bahn station (U6) and about 50 meters east of the S-bahn station. While not a lot to do in the immediate area, it is conveniently located for local travel. The LMU campus, where I had a conference is only 10-12 minutes away, and the Hbf/Altstadt are 10-15 minutes in the other direction. Breakfast buffet was worth the price too. Even though my room overlooked the main street, it was rather quiet. I would stay here again.

This did not feel like a four-star hotel. The property looked old and poorly maintained, and the walls and carpets appeared very dirty. My room had an unpleasant smell, which staff acknowledged, but I was told a replacement would only be available around 7 p.m. While I was there, a person who appeared intoxicated was harassing staff, which made me uncomfortable. When I raised my concern, I was told, “It is Munich,” and that there was a psychiatric hospital nearby. I found that response dismissive and far from reassuring. The overall atmosphere felt more like basic accommodation than the four-star experience advertised. I ended up leaving and booking another hotel, adding expense and stress to my trip. I would not stay here again.

The hotel has an excellent location, with the Harras UBahn station lift directly across the road from the property. Rooms were clean, and had nearly all the amenities you would need. A fridge in each room would be nice. There was a very friendly member of staff working at the bar one of the evenings we stayed in for a drink. However there was a member of staff at reception who was rude. When we were checking out he tried to claim we had two breakfasts and put it on the room. He even tried to claim my signature, and whoever signed for the breakfasts signature were the same when they were clearly different. It was only when I insisted he checked the CCTV to see we had not gone into the restaraunt at all that he then spoke to the waitress in the restaraunt who then confirmed it was not us who had the breakfasts. A sour ending to an otherwise pleasant stay.
