Private Getaway With Beautiful Views

  • If you want to get away from the crowds and enjoy privacy, peace, and quiet, "Forest View" is the home for you. Located just outside a gated community on a private road, this guest house is centrally located and perfect for a short or long term stay.

    The home is easily accessible with no outside or inside stairs and curbless showers. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals (including a variety of herbs/spices, oils, and vinegar, ). We also supply coffee (Keurig and Mr. Coffee), tea, and hot chocolate.
    There is a Generac whole-house generator for those unexpected and PG&E-scheduled power outages. There are smart tv's in every room to enable access to your favorite shows and high speed WiFi for all of your devices. We have a level two 40 amp car charger (adapter needed for Teslas) available for a small fee.

    Enjoy the spectacular views and sunsets on the large deck including dining for six, a gas fire pit, a gas grill, and a Blackstone gas griddle.

    Children are welcome. However, the home is not child-proofed and may not be suitable for children under five.

    Owners are located on the property if anything else is needed. (Your privacy is very well respected.)

Everything you need and want is provided in this great place to stay! The views are amazing; it is quiet and serene. Close to town, but yet far enough! We will definitely be returning! Thank you, wonderful hosts! :)

Lovely—SO quiet—guest house…perfectly nestled in the trees, it feels like a tree house—but equipped with a beautifully stocked kitchen and everything you need to enjoy your time away!! So grateful that we found this spot!

Awesome home with amazing hospitality and incredible views

These hosts went above and beyond and providing amenities like snacks coffee and more, every detail was addressed far better than any hotel! The home is beautifully adorned with amazing views incredible privacy. I hope to stay here again sometime.

Perfect home for secluded getaway

We had a lovely weekend at this comfortable house that perfectly suited our needs. We had easy access to Murphy's but were able to find peace and relaxation at this private location away from the crowds.

Terrific House - Great for People with Mobility Issues

We LOVED staying at Arlene and Adam's house - so comfortable, perfect amount of room for 2 couples. Arlene's kitchen is the most well appointed kitchen and was perfect for our group. Bonus points for no stairs and walk in showers made it a great fit for my friend who uses a cane. THANKS VERY MUCH for the stay, we really enjoyed it.

This was our second time staying at Forest Meadows and we just love it here. Gracious hosts, tons of privacy, and peaceful views. Spacious enough for a family or 2 couples with everything you can think of. Fully stocked kitchen, laundry, tvs with Netflix, beautiful bathrooms, and an amazing master closet. Perfect location for visiting Murphys or Arnold or a day trip to the snow. We also just spend a lot of downtime inside because it’s that relaxing here! We love it here so much and are already planning our next stay! Cannot recommend enough!

Lovely Place to Explore Murphys and Surrounding Area

We visited Calaveras Big Tree park and Mercer Cavern. It was an anniversary weekend to relax in nature. Our hosts, Arlene and Adam, could not have been more welcoming. Their place is beautifully decorated, has an amazing kitchen and a stunning view. Highly recommend!

Always a wonderful stay

Arlene and Adam are the best. We have been here a few times and we will be back again. The view and peaceful setting keep us coming back. It's a quick drive to Murphys for wine tasting.

Girl get away!

We booked this fabulous, cute, adorable home for a girls family trip. We walked in and instantly felt at home. The home was beautiful inside and out. It had every amenity you can think of. And the views..... breathtaking! We cannot wait to come stay here again. I’m already booking my next trip.

Great stay!

We had great time. The house is charming, brand new and nicely decorated. It has everything you can think of, all in high quality and great condition. The hosts are very attentive. Location was convenient for us to go to Spicer Sno Park. Thank you Arlene and Adam for a lovely hospitality.

Quiet yet close

The house is perfect for a quiet getaway. It is tucked back away from the hustle and bustle and has a great view! We were close enough to all of the attractions so that exploring the area was easy. Arlene and Adam were great hosts! Nice personal touches and coffee, bottled water, and snacks available as well. The house is comfortably furnished with a warm homey feeling. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay : - )

Cozy, clean, wonderful, fabulous house in the mountains!

This is a 6 star VRBO! The house is wonderful, it is brand new and has everything you want for a cozy place in the mountains. We spent a few days here, you are in a quiet area, remote but close to Murphys and Arnold and get the best of both worlds. The hosts are great and we’d definitely stay here again!!
