Needs serious TLC

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: First walking around in room we notice our feet turned black instantly since the cleaners clearly didn’t mop or sweep we noticed a huge horse pill under table that they missed. We have a 2 year old and thank goodness we found it before her. We received a call mid week saying the appliance company won’t be out til next monday To replace the washing machine. We had no clue it was broken but it still should have been addressed before staying. The master bedroom mattress was so worn down it was unbearable to sleep on. The last night of stay the a/c stopped working on us. The back sliding door didn’t lock and the slider was so hard to shut. We did have a nice vacation other than this. We love the building, we stayed in ocean place last year but different unit. If they fix these issues we would definitely stay again.

We notified maintenance of a couple of issues. We did not hear anything from them for 48 hours. We called again and we’re told they were addressing more urgent issues. Everything in the condo was very nice, clean, and in good working order. The linens and kitchen equipment were good. (I would only suggest that salt and pepper always be in any unit.) The view of the ocean were unsurpassed. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Fantastic Ocean view and perfect layout.

The unit is centrally located between the two piers and ideal for watching the sunrise. The million dollar view amazed me each day. Kitchen has all you need for cooking meals (pots, pans, utensils). Linens were sufficient for bedrooms and baths; having a washing machine in the unit was a great feature. Being on the 1st floor you need to keep blinds closed for privacy, pool is right there so there isn’t much. Recommend cleaning behind and under furniture as there was major dust balls and dirty floor molding. Bed pillows were very flat I would buy new ones

Perfection at the beach

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I loved this condo and the furnishings. The view of it makes up for the location right above the pool; so you lack some privacy. We reported that the shower gasket was coming off the door but it wasn’t fixed while we were there. Floor sweeping could be done better as there were major dustballs under furniture and moldings needed a good cleaning. This however would not deter us from renting it again. Garden City Realty personnel were wonderful to deal with.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Rental is in a great location on 1st floor. Proximity over pool and hot tub is not ideal (late night noise). Condo smelled like mildew so could use some humidity treatment. Was well stocked with towels, we could have used more toilet paper. Two rolls for two bathrooms is skimpy -- we had to run out and restock partway through our stay.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The property was not clean. There was food left from previous renters. Sand all over the unit. You dare not walk walk in bear feet (you would have black on the bottom. ) The units was very sparcely equipped. No dust pan to clean up the left sand,there were no pans large enough to cook for a family. Found cobwebs in bedroom.

Totally Disappointed

I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our family has used GCR for our family vacations for many years and were very disappointed in this rental. Even after calling maintenance, we were very politely told that they were aware of issues (i.e a huge hole in the master bath ceiling) but were the last rental and would need to "put up with it for the couple of nights we were there". The furniture (beds and sofa) were almost unbearable. Some of the furniture has extra building supplies covered in dust underneath or behind it so they would not have to tear out anything. My husband put something over the hole in the ceiling himself and I cleaned the bathrooms as especially the toilets were not clean. In my opinion this unit should not have been rented in this condition.

The worst bedding I have ever experienced in One Ocean property. Kitchen utensils that were way past normal use, stained. Even the toaster was stained and fell apart when moved to plug in.

Only able to check in one minute early when it was evident the place was ready much earlier and the "cleaning inspector" was blind.
