Kids had to wear shoes on deck and be careful of railings. Wood was very old. Two window air conditioners had to run along with regular air to keep house cool.

We couldn't draw it to cover the sliding door at night. I am sure the owner is aware because it looked like it had been that way for a long time.

It is older and not as updated as some but it is perfect for a beach stay. We spent most of our time on the beach or on the screened in porch. It is very roomy out there with plenty of chairs for everyone. We have talked about staying here again next time. The customer service at Garden City Realty os also the best and we always use them when visiting Garden City.

When we arrived, we did have to wait extra time for check in due to waiting on the final inspection which was explained in an email may happen. House was still dirty. Shower door handle was broken, screen for back porch broken, floors a little uneven (from settling?), and you have to make your own bed upon arriving. Overall though, we were happy with our stay. Description does not boast a pool, but most houses around you have a pool, so you may spend your vacation a little jealous.

Also the HVAC return air grille was caked with dust and the sofa was blocking more than have the return air duct. Don't know how it was still working properly. There were a lot of bugs(roaches) in the kitchen. The vertical blinds at the sliding glass door were broken. Garden City Realty offered to send someone out to fix but we declined.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very disappointed. My husband is handicapped and we rented the Sanderling because it had an elevator. The elevator did not work and when I called and reported it I was told maintenance would be there soon but they never arrived. We left on Thursday because my husband could no longer manage the stairs. We would have left Wednesday but we didn't want to drive home in the rain. The porch was nice but the rest was a disappointment.

Reviewer Comments: Pros: great location, easy walk to the beach, house roomy, house had plenty of supplies, ocean deck is nice, many handicap items we were not aware of and did not need ( hospital bed, commode seats, walkers) plenty of games. Kitchen appliances were newer and nice. Cons: front porch railing and decking are loose and scary, house needs a good cleaning (walls in front left bedroom have dust bunnies everywhere) , could use new mattress & comforters, new blinds would help in kitchen and baths, baths have zero counter space (all toiletries stay in your bedroom), ocean deck could use a table and chairs. Never figured out the elevator ( no instructions for anything). Outside Needs a good pressure washing ( moldy) and paint would help. Place just needs updated, clear clutter and deep cleaning. Garden City Realty was great, upon arriving the WiFi didn’t work, stopped in Sunday morning around 9:30, by 10:30 Tim came by, saw the landscapers had cut the cable, he fixed and came to the beach to let us know, Tim showed great customer service!
