Motel 6 Temecula, CA - Historic Old Town

2/10 Terrible

"I know its a motel 6 but I thought it would at least be clean due to the area it is located. I was wrong. The minute I open the door the smoke choked you. On the way to the front desk 5 Temecula Sheriffs Dept. Deputies were trying to locate someone in a room above. At the front desk Daniel was nice but could not provide another room or a refund. We did not stay and we had to drive back home over an hour away. Very disappointing experience."

"I wouldn't say the breakfast was continental. Although it was included with the price of the stay, the only thing outside of the regular dry cereal, breads, oatmeal, yogurt and fruit were the eggs and sausage. I could say the eggs were edible, but they weren't really. Very powdered texture, microwaved, and you could see the worker take the sausage out of the freezer, and microwave it. If you wanted your breads cut, you had to give it to the workers. It was better than nothing, but we had to go other places to eat breakfast because it wasn't much."

"Overall, not a very pleasant experience. The hotel feels extremely old and outdated, with almost no renovations done for a very long time. It honestly felt more like the cheapest roadside motel than an actual hotel stay. The staff was also not very friendly or welcoming. The “breakfast” is almost nonexistent — there is basically nothing there, so it probably should not even be listed as breakfast. The location is nice, but the property itself feels worn down, neglected, and very far from comfortable."

"This is my 2nd time staying here. Last year I had a single king with a balcony and ocean view. This year was 2 queens and an ocean view. The room was huge, much bigger than I expected. I was pleasantly surprised. The couch in the room was old and squeaky, but the beds were great. Loved the view. Beds were comfy. This room was much quieter than my single room. The breakfast wasn't huge, but it was free and it was a huge help because we were running late and needed something quick. Quiet, amazing location and the parking is perfect. We will definitely be back!"
