"We certainly enjoyed our stay at the houseboat. Monnickendam is a cute little town with a nice market, shops and restaurants. Just a 10 minutes walk to the bus stop into Amsterdam - very convenient. On the houseboat you find everything you need. Perfect spot in the evening is on the rooftop. Our host provided us with a very warm welcome. Communication was easy and very pleasant. Getting used to the dry toilet is a little challenge - there are „normal“ toilets in the main building."

"We had a wonderful stay with Deep and Julie on their Catermeran. We enjoyed some wonderful sailing and anchored near an Island for the night. We had a lovely evening sharing stories over dinner and watching the sun go down! I was impressed how warm and cosy the boat was and how well we all slept! Waking up surrounded by nature and beautiful scenery in the morning was very special and we enjoyed basking up the sunshine before setting sail. "The houseboat was amazing! It was incredibly serene and quiet, making it a wonderful place to relax. We were not far from Aalsmeer, which is a lovely town to explore. We took taxis to Hoofddorp, where we could easily hop on the train to travel around the area.The houseboat itself was spacious and comfortable to move around in, and both the beds and couches were very comfortable. "Great overall experience. It is situated in a calm area but close to all you could want to do as a tourist. We walked everywhere. Sitting on the deck for coffee in the morning and a drink in the evening is great - you get see the boats and also the cute ducks. The bed and sofa are very comfortable. Very clean and all we needed was provided. A little tricky to get on and off with luggage but on arrival we did get help. Something to consider if you have mobility issues."

"Gave only 4 stars because when I went to check in, they told us were staying next door in the Residence Inn. It was part of the Corendon Hotel. But after hauling in all our luggage after a long day of traveling, then standing in a long line to be told we needed to check in the next door hotel, didn't make us very happy. Residence Inn room was like a studio apt but huge and was sparkly clean. We had to go next door to the Corendon to buy beer & snacks. Didn't feel up to eating at Corendon restaurant. Definitely, would stay there again. Note: There is a hotel shuttle to hotel from airport (no ticket req'd, however, it costs 5 euro from hotel to airport. You can purchase online or at front desk."
