Happy Dog Days with a Paw Shaped Pool is a one-of-a-kind home. This spacious and beautifully decorated home was designed to accommodate your family as well as your canine companions. The custom-built paw print pool comes with FREE POOL HEAT FOR FALL AND SPRING that is the ideal place for you to relax and take in the beautiful surroundings. For your convenience, there is a half bath located adjacent to the pool area. After a day of surfing or fishing enjoy soaking your tired muscles in the 6 person hot tub. A fenced in yard and play area is located just behind the pool that your dog will be sure to enjoy!

Happy Dog Days is conveniently located in the heart of Nags Head, and close to shopping, dining, and local attractions that will keep the entire family happy. The private balconies will provide the most beautiful sunrises and ocean views. Most importantly, the beach access is just a short walk from your front door!

Amenities abound in this fully equipped home; ELEVATOR, Keyless Entry, Recreation Room with Bumper Pool, 7 TVs, 5 DVDs, and more! House is in a great location to the beach. Maybe 100 yards if that. Outside is great. Pool area and yard for kids & dogs is great. First problem is that even though it’s a “dog friendly” rental…when we arrived the bed sheets and blankets were covered in dog hair (and we ended up not bringing out dogs, so it wasn’t our dogs). Secondly, we arrived and the house was HOT. Obviously it’s hot outside but it’s horrible to arrive to your vacation home and walk into a 78 house. Then for the week, the upstairs did NOT cool whatsoever. The bottom 2 floors stayed nice and cool but the top floor (where the master bedroom is) stayed 80 degrees. Thermostat was set to 68. We kept doors and blinds closed thinking that would help. It didn’t. So I went out and bought 2 fans to help cool the top floor. The couches in the living room are awful. Old leather with holes and when you sit down on them you can’t even get back up because they’re so broken down. So we didn’t utilize the living room much, either. The dryer does NOT dry well. After cleaning the vent trap and everything I was still having to dry things over. Lastly in the check in book it says don’t turn the refrigerator and freezer past medium…and to give it time to cool down. We did as instructed. The refrigerator does NOT keep food cold….room temperature at best. Even after days of letting it adjust. Bottom line is the house itself is wonderful. But MANY MANY things need upgraded especially for the price charged to stay for a week!

Winter Beach Is Fun

We usually rent a home in Kitty Hawk during the summer, but decided to mix things up and spend New Years in Nags Head. The home was perfectly situated on the beach road with a close cross walk and views of the beach. The house offered all of the amenities, including an elevator and a hot tub. We would definitely sty here again--maybe in the summer next time!

We liked it!

Easy beach access, nice pool and hot tub. Well maintained and heated pool a plus! Some decks and railings need to be replaced/stabilized in very near future. We had a good time and really liked it! Loved the extra play space for the dog! Yard had no THORNS which is a huge plus so very pet friendly!

Incredible Pet Friendly Home

Awesome property and host. Also managed exceptionally by Beach Realty. Home was centrally located to everything. Walk across street to beach! Extremely pet friendly. Loved the decor. Home was spotless. Excellent amenities for both people and doggies!!! Would highly recommend this property for your vacation with your pets.

Enjoyed stay but a few issues during stay

We enjoyed our stay overall but we had a few issues that need to be addressed for future guests. - the bunk bed is not sturdy so my son slept on floor - the chairs on top level were wobbly and one of chairs in basement at poker table was broken. - the dryer would not dry and when we pulled it out there was a ton of lint which could be a fire hazard. We vacuumed it out.

Pros = house layout, location, heated pool, elevator, recreation and dog park area Cons= we had a total of 13 people. we needed more utensils (forks & spoons) and coffee cups (we ended up hand washing those items during the day. The 3rd floor rear deck has loose flooring, the 2nd floor front deck has trim falling off.
