Tali Ayer, is the place to stay if you're in Nairn. The house is full of charm, beautifully furnished, with some South-east Asian flavour (in terms of paintings and statues). David and Rowena are amazing hosts, and both my husband and I adore them so. We can spend hours talking to both of them. David's wit, both their wealth of stories, and their hospitality are a joy to us this trip. My husband and I went to eat at The Classroom just near Tali Ayer (as recommended by David) and it was absolutely delicious. The room we stayed in was comfortable, and clean as well. Tali Ayer is a short walk through the city center from Nairn beach. Breakfast cooked by Rowena was scrumptious. David ensured everybody's comfort and kept the conversation going when we had breakfast at his handsome, communal table. I just cannot recommend this place enough - David and Rowena are so very lovely, gracious, and helpful. Hope to stay at Tali Ayer again if I'm at Nairn - definitely will stay an extra night the next time!
