The check in was arranged through WhatsApp, and was smooth. The room had been renovated, and was clean and comfortable. The soundproofing was effective - the Via Bologna under our balcony was crowded with stalls and was quite noisy during the day and evening. The first breakfast was very good, but on the second morning, several items we requested were not provided. After asking the maid, she indicated that some were not available, but others were provided on request. There was a language barrier, but that did not explain why the breakfast order was not completed. Also, we needed to obtain cash to pay the tourist tax, which was inconvenient, as we used our credit cards for every other expense on this trip. These hitches apart, the stay was excellent value for money, and the location close to Napoli Centrale station is very convenient.

I struggled to rate this B&B. On the one hand, the rooms were very large, the air conditioning worked great, the showers were powerful and the location right beside the train station was so convenient for us as we did a lot of day trips to Rome, Pompeii, etc. However….. the area itself is dirty, crowded, and would be unsafe for people travelling alone. We were tailed by would-be thieves multiple times, who only gave up after we turned around and deliberately stared at them to make it clear we knew what they were trying. There are some excellent eateries close by, though, so if you don’t mind a rough and ready surroundings, fill your boots. The staff at the Re Diego also leave much to be desired. There was no one at the desk when we tried to check in at 8:30pm (the desk is only staffed until 7pm, there is no security besides locked doors), so our rooms were left unlocked for us to let ourselves into(!). The delivery of breakfast on a tray to your door in the morning should be a plus, but the staff who sort the trays arrive at 7am precisely and proceed to crash about, shout to one another, use coffee machines and slam doors from the moment they set foot in the place. Good luck to you if you want to sleep in. Breakfast is also only served between 8-10am - too late if you want breakfast before the first train to Pompeii on the Express. Would I stay at this place again? Probably yes, but we value location over much else. Would I recommend the Re Diego for other travellers? No.

This bed and breakfast is tucked inside a lovely building right on the square. Everything you need is right there - train, buses, metro, dining, shopping, and friendly Napoli locals. A true jewel in a bustling city of food and culture. I’d stay here again and again.

Outside the property is NOT the most pleasant area and sight BUT once you get inside the property, it’s very nice and MOST of all, the rooms are great and newly renovated. It’s very modern and spacious. Staff is great and very accommodating. Highly recommended.

I have stayed here three times, for the spacious room/bed, the convenience of walking to the train station, and the friendly ladies delivering my breakfast in room. The building is very old, but they tried their best. The only thing that needs improvement is the Wi-Fi, still unstable.

Whilst we struggled to find the enterance originally, once we did find out we needed to go to floor 4 we had to use the rather old and small lift and couldn’t all fit in. Two trips later we were in the B&B reception. Staff were super friendly and explained we had to order breakfast the night before and it would be delivered to our room the next day. Good options of the breakfast menu. The room itself was spacious, clean and tidy and had everything we needed for a nights stay.

Close to main station so perfect of an overnight. Elevator too small , lobby is in 4 the floor, the entrance is shared by multiple small hotels then with elevator is sperated. Staff nice. It they leave overnight , seems like an Airbnb. Inside room very clean and renovated. It's the downtown of Naples.
