Short visit over long weekend

We were a group of 13 people visited over the Australia Day long weekend. It was an excellent experience staying at this property. Bathrooms were very clean. The swimming pool was very nice. It was heated pool and kids enjoyed it for long hours.

Nelson Bay Holiday is a-Ok

Kids loved the pool and the proximity to Nelson Bay Beach. Plenty to do in and around Nelson Bay. Location of property is perfect. Property itself not too shabby. Mum loved the laundry facilities. Perfect for getting beach towels and swimmers washed and dried ready for action the next day. Highly recommend this property. Definitely staying there again.

We had a wonderful stay recently at Nelson Bay Breeze holiday apartments. The 2 bedroom superior apartment was very nice albeit the downstairs toilet needs an upgrade. It was very spacious and very clean. The heated pool is fantastic and the grounds are kept in immaculate condition. The onsite restaurant Nostimo is absolutely delicious, friendly staff and the serving size is very very generous.

Lovely place to stay, walking distance to beach, shops and the centre of everything. Lovely pool. Restaurant was fabulous along with great food and staff. Would stay there again. A few minor things with accommodation and this was addressed to staff but this did not affect our stay. Highly recommend.

Booked at short notice due. The staff went above and beyond to welcome us and make aure we had everything we needed. Close enoigh to the cebtre of town without being in the hustle and bustle. Clean rooms, comfy beds. Excellent set up.

We enjoyed one night stay as a family. The dishwasher didn't work and the bathroom started smelling bad after the jet bath. It's probably a sewage issue. Other than that we enjoyed walking to the snorkeling spot and Sunday market across the street.

Great spot to stay with a family. A 10-15 minute walk to the local cafes and Marina. The only thing that was not provided that I wish was available was some milk( UHT milk) for the tea and coffee which I found strange. We only stayed 2 nights so not worth buying a full milk for such a short time.

The apartment we were allocated was clean but it desperately needs a renovation as it was really showing its age. The main bed was not very good. The pool was good however.

Pros The pool is fantastic. The property is central and good walking distance to cafes and parks. Parking was great. Cons The apartment was completely outdated and felt like it hadn’t been properly cleaned in a very long time. The floors were filthy, the shower was covered in black mould (I had to wear flip-flops to use it), and the coffee table was broken and dangerous. Even the clothes hoist was broken. The bedroom had makeshift curtains that blocked us from opening the window, meaning there was no air flow at all. We also called ahead to check if BBQs were available and were told yes, but when we went to use them, they didn’t work. Overall, the apartment we stayed in desperately needs a full update and refurbishment. In its current condition, it’s absolutely not worth the price being charged. In saying that, we had friends staying in another apartment & their apartment was clean & everything seemed to be in orderly working condition.

Comfortable apartment but a few negative details

The apartment was spacious and there was a good range of appliances and equipment. There was some evidence of wear, eg some taps were difficult to completely turn off and the spa bath nozzles needed replacing although this is scheduled to be addressed in 2025. Also there was no means of locking the sliding door onto the balcony. Checking in was easy but the WiFi code was not provided and it took over 2 hours before this could be sorted as reception was not staffed. Despite this our overall stay was relaxing and the apartment was comfortable.

Staff, Maria was the best!!! Maria cared to change rooms for a more appropriate room. Shower the flooding floor in the disabled unit created a large problem for all of us. We couldn’t get the air conditioner working to keep us warm. We used our overcoats to wear to bed. Very awkward when I sit up every night with medical issues. The teacups were disgraceful I cleaned then using my fingernails to get the grot off to be able to use. Apart from that the location and personal service from Maria is fabulous.
