Friendly staff, they out their way to help us.
Clean room which had everything we needed
Close to town centre which ment we could walk to amenities
Would definitely go back
Rooms were spotless and modern. The reception area needed a good brush out and clean from cobwebs in the windows and on the floor, which had me worried at check-in, but this wasnt reflected in the room we stayed in which was very tidy. Great location a short 5 min.walk from town and restaurants
Great fully equipped kitchen although I only boiled eggs and made coffee. Shame there wasn't more black coffee available. Excellent bed. Shame the sofa bed was an uncomfortable sofa, I kept slipping forwards. Dining chairs were comfortable. Great to have Netflix and mirroring. Does the TV allow bluetooth earbud connection, so as not to disturb others?
A great quality motel close to the centre of Nelson, so nice and quiet but can easily walk to everything in 5-10 minutes.
Very well finished rooms with comfortable and high quality furniture and linens.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
Highly recommended - next time we visit Nelson, I know where we'll look to stay!
We stayed at the Century Park Motor Lodge on the last two nights of a two-week tour of the South Island. It was the perfect luxury stop, to finish off our holiday. The Motor Lodge was very well located, walking distance to all the central restaurants and bars, as well as being a short drive to the airport. When we arrived, we were welcomed by a very friendly owner who could not have been more helpful with places to eat, places to visit and he gave us a tour of our room. The room was very comfortable and spacious and provided everything we needed. We would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone visiting Nelson.
Unfortunately, we were only here for about 5 hours as we decided to check out early and return to Christchurch due to a red weather warning. However, the place seemed well equipped and spotless with plenty of parking available.
There was demolition taking place next door, though I cannot comment on morning noise I can imagine the nearby main road and construction would be quite noisy.
We did try to ask reception staff on their opinion regarding the red weather warning (we’re from the UK so didn’t know how serious it was). The young chap on reception seemed oblivious to the government warning and said he wouldn’t know where to check to get advice - something that baffles me considering they are in hospitality and it was all over the national news.
We made the right decision as by the next morning all the roads back to Christchurch were closed and many areas had lost power. The Christchurch hotel we stayed at issued a warning to all guests to stay inside during the warning, they ensured we had this information by posting a print out under our door. Very much in contrast to the Nelson hotel.
The hotel seems like it could be a good, clean option for a night or two if you need to stay in Nelson.
